This shredder is a work horse! Quiet and works great! I had a lot of shredding and this shredder did the job! Much better than my previous shredder, although previous worked great for many years, this shredder did the job-lots of package labels and junk mail to shred!

I've shredded tens of thousands of pages with this shredder and it is still going strong. Just follow the manufacturer recommendations - don't stuff too much material in at once and give the shredder a break every 30-40 minutes. The shredder does generate some paper dust. So I do recommend vacuuming the unit, shred bin and motor exhaust fan after filling the shred bin 4 to 6 times, especially if shredding that much material in a short timeframe. Not only does this help with the dust, but you can keep the little pieces of shredded paper from escaping the work area. A small shop vac with a brush attachment works well. (By the way, 2 bins full of shredding fit into a 13 gallon tall kitchen trash bag with some room to spare.) I like the shredder enough to buy one for my daughter as a replacement for her brand name shredder I broke trying to shred 3 sheets of paper at once.

Bought this shredder to take care of 25 years of in-laws documents that we knew our cross cut shredder could not handle. Over a few days, we confetti shredded over 5 copy paper boxes of paper, filling a dozen extra large garbage bags and never had the overheat light go on, I was the one that needed the breaks! Staples were no problem but be sure all paper clips are removed. Pretty quiet compared to our former shredder. I recommend having some form of shredder lubricant available when running larger jobs, we went through half a bottle.

Best shredder I have owned, and for a reasonable price. Reduces pages to small crumpled flakes that would be almost impossible to reassemble and read. Almost jam-proof and runs for long periods without shutting down to take a break. Easily handles more than a dozen pages at a time, so you don't have to be exact in how many you insert. Extra large bin. Evidently does not need periodic oiling as many do. The only negative I can think of is that in two others I have owned I could place a trash bag in the bin to catch the shreds, but that does not not work well in this shredder and tends to make it think the bin is full when there is nothing in it but the empty bag.

Excellent shredder. Quiet. Was able to shred quite a bit in a short period of time. It claims you can shred up to 18 sheets at a time. I don’t think I’ve done that many at once probably 10 or 12 sheets however the shredder was capable of handling 20 minutes of continuous use.

if you want to save time when you have to do a whole lot of shredding, like I did almost a year‘s worth, this is the machine to get. It shreds 18 pages which you think it might not be important but when you have to do so much shredding it becomes very important and reducing the amount of time it takes to do so. I like that this shredder is very quiet because I can shred at night without worrying about waking up anybody in the house. I gave it a four star rating maybe unfairly, but because it was very heavy. You’ll be thankful that it has wheels to move it around like I did from room to room. again, I would’ve given it a five star rating if it wasn’t so heavy but I’m sure they can’t avoid that.

I decided to buy this shredder rather than pay almost triple the price to have a shredding company take care of 19 boxes of documents. I picked this one for its price to performance; looking for one with a high sheet count and long continuous run-time. Over the course of a weekend, this shedder performed admirably and made quick work of all the documents we threw it. I think the max I sent through it was 15 sheets at a time and never ran into an issue. I used it for about 30 minutes straight before giving it a rest and I never got any indication it was close to overheating. The noise level of the shredder was not too loud. I had the TV on and only had to raise the volume by 2-3 to be able to hear what I watching while I was shredding. By the end of all the shredding, it still felt like it was brand new, which was surprising how many boxes of paper we put through it. However I had one issue with the shredder, the amount of paper dust that escaped the shredder through the bin, shedding port, and exhaust port. My whole living room was covered in a fine layer of dust from all the shredding we did. I noticed the build up started after I shredded two bins full of paper and it never let up. A little dust is too be expected, but I felt it was a little too much for my liking. The dust probably won't be noticeable as we use it sporadically over the years for general sporadic shredding. That being said, I would still purchase this shredder again.

My first reaction was how large this shredder is. I didn't really pay attention to the weight or dimensions when I ordered it. I probably should have. I have arthritic hands, and this was heavy! Thankfully, it's on wheels, so once I got it out of the box (which took quite a while), I just needed to find a space for it. I haven't tried to shread more than 6-7 pages at once. It's not overly noisy and works well. My biggest complaint is how sloppy it is to empty. The all-plastic basket makes so much static, that paper shreds fly everywhere! Keep your vacuum handy -- you'll need it. I tried to put a paper bag in the basket which helps a little, but it's very annoying. This replaced a much smaller Aurora shredder with a metal basket -- it was a much better setup and incredibly easy to empty. Would I buy this again knowing what I know now? Probably not.

Had to return first one after using only a few times the first day we had it. Very frustrating. Second one is doing ok so far but only used it a couple of times. When we purchased it the first time we used “Sam’s Cash” ($14.25) towards the price. When they refunded the cost they did not refund that money. We were given a $10 gift card for our troubles with returning the shredder. Call center people were difficult to understand and not as easy to work with as I would have liked.

This seems like it should be a great shredder, however from the start it has jammed and overheated with just one sheet of paper. I have processed less than a dozen sheets of paper and it is jammed and won’t budge. It is going back to store
