OK Budget TV
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The TV is an OK budget TV. I'm not a fan of the Samsung OS for starters. I've seen a lot of Samsung TVs that the picture looks amazing on but this isn't one of those TVs. The picture is pretty average for UHD 4k. I'd also say that it does this auto dimming when it is showing dark scenes on the TV making it hard to see anything. Maybe it is a setting issue but it's annoying. Overall the TV is fine for the price and size.
Hi Shaunp45, Thank you for sharing your experience with the Samsung TU7000 TV and feedback on the picture quality and auto-dimming. Please know we are here to help you. First, let's make sure you are running the latest software. To do so, head to Settings>Support>Software Update, and you can easily update from there if needed. Next, to adjust the picture: Next, go to Home > Settings > Picture > Picture Mode and select the mode that best fits your usage: 1) Standard: This is the default mode suitable for general viewing environments. 2) Natural: Reduces eye strain for a comfortable viewing experience. 3) Movie: It is suitable for watching TV or movies in a dark room. 4) Dynamic: Makes the picture brighter and clearer in bright viewing environments. 5) Filmmaker Mode: You can watch the source content (e.g., movie) as it is. If the image is defined as Filmmaker Mode, it will automatically switch to Filmmaker Mode while watching. You can also go to Settings > Picture > Expert Settings > to manually fine-tune your image. For Auto Dimming, please try these steps: Dynamic Picture Mode will make pictures brighter and clearer in bright viewing environments. Go to: Settings > Picture > Picture Mode > Dynamic/ You may also want to disable Power Saving Mode, which automatically adjusts the brightness to reduce the TV’s power consumption. Go to: Settings > General > Eco Solution> Power Saving Mode Ambient Light Detection will also automatically adjust the brightness level of the TV according to the ambient light level to reduce power consumption. If Ambient Light Detection has adjusted the screen brightness to a too bright or dark level, you can manually select Minimum Brightness to adjust the minimum screen brightness. Go to: Settings > General > Eco Solution > Ambient Light Detection If you need more help, Samsung is here for you. Please call us at 1-800-SAMSUNG, 8 AM - 12 AM EST, seven days a week. Our LiveChat agents are also available by clicking on the ‘Support’ link on our website. ~ Samsung Advisor
Fatantastic tv
i got my tv yesterday and hooked it up today and i have to say i love this tv. with the super thing bezels the screen really pops in my living room. colors really pop when watching movies when the lights are out. even though i have this connected to my samsung sound bar the tv speakers were really good if i didn't have the soundbar i would still be happy with it. what really sets this tv apart from the others and something i was shocked about was the picture quality. its really bright and sharp and with the automatic game mode that kicks in when i play my ps4 and xbox i am thoroughly impressed by the picture. i only wish that it had more then 2 hdmi ports but beyond that this tv is fantastic!!!!
Great TV
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's been 10 years since I purchased a new TV. What an amazing upgrade. The quality is great and it matches nicely with my living room setup. Would recommend to anyone. It is a little on the lighter side so not sure if I'd recommend a low TV stand where kids can knock it over. I don't worry about that so it's perfect for me.
Great TV for the whole family
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like the display model of my samsung. The menu is easy to navigate and has all the options as soon as you turn on the TV. Exist free programs to watch, this is amazing. And my son's video game was connected on the tv, the image is perfect. I really love this tv. The size and image quality is my favorite things about this tv. I can watch tv with my windows open, and the light no influence the tv image. I ❤️
Great TV at a fair price
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my second Samsung tv and I continue to be impressed. From my experience, I've always known Samsung for their quality TV's and this one hasn't disappointed. I'm an avid gamer and my Xbox Series X looks amazing through this 4k picture. My only downside is I wish the output was at 120hz rather than 60hz. Overall, for the price point, this is a great 4k TV that I plan on hanging onto for a while.
Great picture, great sound, great experience.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] All in one great experience! Perfect TV for our family movie nights with its crystal clear audio and massive 65in screen it feels like we're in our own mini theater. Family movie nights have never been better.
Amazing TV!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am loving my new Samsung Crystal UHD TV. The TV setup was incredibly easy through my Samsung Account on the Smarththings app. Just looking at the TV there is less of an edge than my previous television and the screen is HUGE! I wasn't expecting to see such a vast difference from my last TV since it was also UHD but I was amazed at how clear and crisp the picture is. The colors are vibrant, the darker parts of movies are clear as day and I can see every single bit of the picture. The speakers were good but I had to buy the Samsung soundbar to go with this amazing picture for a full theater experience. With this TV I am also connected to my other Samsung appliances so while I have a movie playing I am notified on screen when the laundry is done, the oven has finished cooking, the dishwasher has completed it cycle and am able to upload and enjoy my favorite family photos. I was able to connect this TV to Alexa but so far I can only get her to turn the TV on or off. I still have a lot more exploring to do! I love that there are so many settings to allow you get to the perfect picture for every type of lighting and movie. There is also a smart feature which will automatically detect what the right settings are, until you're used to playing around with the TV. I am so glad I purchased this TV instead of just staying with the what I had completely in ignorant bliss of what an amazing picture actually looks like. When guests are over I throw on a movie to show off my TV and watch as their eyes explode from their face and yell "It looks like that person is right here in the room with us!" My daughter was so impressed with the picture she screamed "I need that!" and ordered one herself. The only thing I wish is that there weren't so many buttons on the remote but I am learning them and it's so easy to use. This TV is an amazing deal for the price and you will never go back to a regular UHD TV again. Now I just have to replace my remaining TV's!
Easy set-up and streaming from devices
This tv is awesome, I had a 55 inch curved Samsung TV for the last 5 years, and the software upgrade alone on this one is 10 times better. It's so easy just to swap from your tablet or phone to the TV back and forth for watching and streaming. The menu set up is pretty straightforward and the Wi-Fi is strong. Coupled with a Samsung sound bar it's awesome! Thank you
Thank you, Shinzon5! We love to hear positive feedback and we’re delighted you’re enjoying your new Samsung TV.
A great audio/visual experience with bad interface
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I quite enjoy Samsung products, and this is no exception. The audio output is phenomenal, and the visuals are decent. However, I get flickering quite often and can't figure out why. The Samsung interface is quite laggy.
Good Smart TV
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Review for basic/standard tv user, after several months of use (Just upgraded from old tube tv). Apps: This tv has all the basics: various apps for tv streaming (like Netflix, Disney+, Prime, etc.) Varios music/video streaming (Amazon music, YouTube, etc.), Samsung streaming, plus regular analog tv (antenna). Ease of external connections: Also tested with Wii system, dvd player, Chromecast, and sounds bar. Very easy to connect these external systems/players. Note: does not have RCA cable connection option. But a simple converter RCA to HDMI does the trick. Audio/Sound: Sound without soundbar is good enough for me. But have the soundbar as extra for others ( although it's rarely used, honestly). WiFi connectivity. I've had no issues so far. Easy to set up, and connection has been good. For reference, I have basic internet only option. Visual/Display: So far, good. No issues.
