Great picture, but freezes A LOT!

i've had this tv about 2 months. the picture is great, but the tv freezes a lot...especially when switching between sources inputs. i route all audio/video sources in to my yamaha rx-v565 a/v receiver, and have a single hdmi output cable to the tv. however, when switching between sources on the yamaha, the tv will freeze. i've used this yamaha receiver for years with other samsung tvs and never had this problem until i this one. the only way i've found to recover the "frozen" tv (without pulling the plug) is to hold the power button on the remote for about 3-5 seconds. that will sort reboot the tv. this is very annoying to have to do every single day! i have the latest firmware, but still the issue persists. samsung, please fix this!!

Your TV has several self-diagnosis tools built in that can help solve problems with signal, network, picture, or sound. Go to Settings > Support> Device Care > Start Device Care For instructions on self-diagnosis tools, please search online for 'Samsung support ANS00077524' You may also want to clear out your TV's temporary storage space by pressing and holding the Power button for 6 seconds. Warning no simple brightness adjustment on this.

It's a nice color when it's visible. Whatever has been done to eliminate the visible image of dark scenes in a brighter room, other than an entire night, is a failure. And I have tried all the "expert" advice to make this thing work. The sad thing is that we also bought six 65-inches of this series at work, and they are just as bad. And the remotes are now absolutely senior citizen-proof; the ADA should investigate that person....

Don't buy read first

Not worth the price I was hoping a lot when it said 4K processing like that meant anything I have flat screens running through my house and every room first time with the Samsung and another thing it only has two ports not happy with that at all I should have stuck with my Vizio going to take this one back and get my vizio back and save extra $$200

Stunning picture quality!

What are these reviews talking about??? This tv picture is absolutely gorgeous! I only buy Samsung tv's they are top notch. This one I bought for my covered lanai and the picture is stunning. Only complaint would be tat volume gets lost outside, but it's not an outside branded tv... My sonos took care of that! Highly recommended! And all of my apps work fine on this tv. lol

Don't buy this tv .

i just bought it 2weeks ago. when i got the tv it have blinking problem. show up randomly can enjoy this tv poor quality. was trying to resolve the problem today. but spending almost a hour still no solution. too much problem to get this tv. not enjoyable. not recommend buying.

Disable Ambient Light Detection, Power Saving Mode, Motion Lighting, or Contrast Enhancer. Settings > General> Eco Solution> Ambient Light Detection Settings > General> Eco Solution> Power Saving Mode Settings > General> Eco Solution> Motion Lighting Settings > Picture > Expert Settings > Contrast Enhancer Run Picture Test. You Get What You Pay For...

I gave this 3 stars as the TV functions as it should and it's my fault that I didn't do my homework. It was the last one left at the store I was at a couple days ago and the last one in my area. It was a good price, so I jumped on it. I was under the assumption that all 4k TV's were running at 120 hz at this point - had no idea new 60hz TV's were still being made. I kept messing with the picture as my nearly 11 year old 1080p 240hz Samsung 55 in. looked better. Well, that 240hz is why. When I read the specs online I was shocked to see the refresh rate at 60hz ('motion rate 120' is just gimmicky buzzword speak to sell low grade TV's like 'blast processing' was used to sell Sega Genesis for those old enough to remember). I still love Samsung, and I will be getting a better TV from the brand when I can. If I had known the refresh rate was only 60hz I would have never considered getting this (really wish the store I was at had the full specs on the product card... But yeah, my fault). If you don't play video games or aren't super picky when it comes to image quality in movies, this TV is fine. If you do play games and are concerned about image quality in your movies well, with electronics you get what you pay for.

Looks and works good

Ordered in February and delivered mid March. Was concerned with all the bad reviews before tv was delivered. First thing I did was update to new firmware per comments from Samsung. Netflix took about 30 min to work after update. I didn't want to spend a lot so this fit my budget perfectly. Not sure why only two HDMI since last years 7 series had three. Not a big fan of the remote. I prefer the remote that came with the 740d version I also recently purchased. No issues with tv.

This product has great features and apps

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a 65" Samsung Smart TV, I just love they way the TV show beautiful pictures it has great sound it's just a good quality product. I like streaming on my Samsung Smart TV because you can download any app that you want it's good for gaming also, the TV shows like you are in a movie theater, you can adjust the lighting on the tv to 3 or 4 mods i love just love that feature and I also like the fact that you can stream on the internet, you can also set a timer for the TV to cut the TV off. I just really enjoy watching my Samsung TV, I just love all Samsung products

Would not recommend

I bought this TV in March of 2021 and had to return it to the store the next day as it was not working correctly. I returned it and it worked well for about three weeks. It is currently turning on and off by itself and I cannot correct it. I heard that Samsung were great products, but I am very unhappy with this product. Would not recommend.

Sometimes connected Smart devices send abnormal "power on" signals through the wireless network that triggers the TV to turn itself on. If you do not want this function, navigate to Settings > General > Network > Expert Settings > Power On with Mobile, and turn the setting off. If you are using an external device through HDMI, this also could cause the auto power on as Anynet+ is set on. Occasionally, connected devices such as game consoles (PS4, xbox) or cable set top boxes send power on signals, for example, if they have software updates. We recommend you to try turning Anynet+ off as it may be causing auto power on. Go to Setting- General - External Device Manager - Anynet+, then Disable (toggle button) If your TV still appears to turn off by itself, please also try disabling some of the TV's energy efficiency functions. See if Sleep Timer has been enabled. The Sleep Timer automatically turns the TV off after a specific period of time. Good product with a few tweaks

the picture is great and it was easy to set up. i do think the remote could be more user friendly; using the arrows and enter button at the bottom for almost every operation is cumbersome. the home screen is also a bit frustrating because it defaults to a random series or movie if you hit a button incorrectly and the apps are very small compared to the screen. all in all a good product for the cost.
