Great features

5 years of sheer joy the settings menu is extensive and you really have to know the right combination of tuning to get the picture at it's highest value, the zoom is amazing must have to maximize picture with top and bottom black bars, great tv once you know your way around, took me some time to get the best combo of settings but that was ok final product awesome

Warning no simple brightness adjustment on this.

It's a nice color when it's visible. Whatever has been done to eliminate the visible image of dark scenes in a brighter room, other than an entire night, is a failure. And I have tried all the "expert" advice to make this thing work. The sad thing is that we also bought six 65-inches of this series at work, and they are just as bad. And the remotes are now absolutely senior citizen-proof; the ADA should investigate that person....

Why must it have 2 legs?

Great TV, but why do all tvs now have 2 legs that are very far apart from each other? We do not have room for a bigger piece of furniture. The TV is less than an inch wider than our old one, but needs a TV stand 4 inches wider, since it changed from a central base to two legs. Is it for increased stability? If it is, Samsung, and all other companies, for that matter, did not think through all the angles. SOME PEOPLE DON'T HAVE INFINITE SPACE! if we get a bigger TV stand, we can't enter the kitchen without going outside. Please stop requiring bigger furniture to fit the same size tv.

Buyer Beware!

I bought my tv in January 2021. Mid July 2022, i came home to a black and blue screen. I've tried all of the different restart and/or hard start procedures and was successful twice but goes right back to the same re-cycle blue & black screen. I've never purchased a tv that has went out in n a little more than a year of having it!

Hi, Disappointed in Illinois, Thank you for purchasing the Samsung TU700D TV and for sharing your experience with your TV not displaying properly. Please try the following troubleshooting steps: 1. If any external devices are connected, check all input cable connections. 2. If the issue persists, define precisely what is wrong with the display. 3. Try changing channels using the remote control. Is the issue the same on all channels? 4. Press the Home button (looks like a house), select Source, and choose another input source. Is the issue the same on all sources? 5. If the same problem persists, run a diagnostic test. (Home > Settings > Support > Device Care > Self Diagnosis > Picture Test) 6. If the problem disappears during the test, check your TV signal (Home > Settings > Support > Device Care > Self Diagnosis > Signal Information) to check the signal strength. The signal strength must be more than 20 dB (more than 4 bars on the icon) for stable signal reception Should your issue persist, please contact Samsung Customer Support at 1-800-SAMSUNG, 8 AM - 12 AM EST, seven days a week. Our LiveChat agents are also available by clicking on the ‘Support’ link on our website. ~ Samsung Advisor

Never again - Korean junk made in Mexico

Lasted 18 months of very limited use in guest room. Then the "two fast red blinks, pause, two fast red blinks, pause, one long red blink and and one short red blink" started and was told that it was out of warranty (which I knew, but this seems like manufacturer defect) and then tried sell me new Samsung TV as the repair costs will likely be more than a new one.

Love it....but....

I'll make this quick, I LOVE IT!!! What sucks is lack of storage or the option to add more. How can I perform a software update, when the TV out the box only gives like 200 MB. I had to delete the only two apps I downloaded and then tv still didnt have enough storage. Ima give it a week then change my review to a 2 star.

Poor performance. Would not recommend Samsung

I bought this tv less than 3 years ago and it already having issues powering on. Sometimes it takes 5-30 minutes to turn on. Once it is on it works fine, but very disappointed that this model isn't working properly. Contacted Samsung support via email with no response. Called the Samsung support # and the representative walked me through some troubleshooting, but couldn't fix the issue. Now I'm stuck with a 58” tv that won't turn on when I want it to. They suggested I call for repair service, which would cost as much as I paid for the tv.

TV is fine, software is not.

bought the tv almost one year ago to the day (nov 30th, 2020). the tv is now stuck and say it needs updated by a usb drive. i've tried over and over to put the current firmware onto a usb drive and to get it to repair or reboot and apply it. no luck and samsung support hasn't been able to help so far. pretty annoying that a firmware update that should be taking place in the background somehow is corrupt? can't even change inputs to roku or a game system.

Glitching

we bought this about 2 weeks ago and it was working great but for no apparent reason, the TV volume is going crazy, the volume goes all the way up to 100 and stays there. When we try to turn it down and release the volume button it automatically goes up to 100. We troubleshooted it by unplugging it, and reseting it to factory settings and we made sure it was in fact not the remotes by removing the batteries. This is really upsetting.
