It took ¼ of the time to install this ,compared to my other system. The camera picture is insane, and the ease of use to set it up was so appreciated. I have the 7 piece system with 2 cameras. This is your one stop shop for security, it comes with everything you need, including a stellar customer service department. The only negative I may be concerned with is the battery life on my cameras. They haven't been tested long enough, but so far, I still have a full charge, & it has been a week. I dont feel i have any other original pics, just the keypad, ect..but they look as if they did on the site.

I needed a product to monitor packages outside my apartment, see who at my door when there is a knock, and monitoring my dogs in the backyard to make sure they are ok. This product has been amazing and providing the perfect solution to these needs. It was extremely quick, easy, and intuitive to set up. It also is very high quality. Amazing product.

I pay for the monitoring but their equipment is so easy to use and everything is user friendly. Its def not perfect but better than anything else i have tried. The new outdoor cameras are pretty solid...the battery life if not real though. Needs power for them to work properly and then they are pretty great. Would recommend overall

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] SimpliSafe has addressed a lot of problems that has prevented us from getting a security system in the past. First, it's insanely quick and painless to set up with the app; I'd say even someone technologically challenged could do it with no issues. And if you don't like installing extra apps, you can complete setup using the keypad (though the app is a little more fluid). I think I had all devices connected and set up in under 30 minutes. Second (and most important for me) is that NO wiring or electrical is needed to install. Each item is powered by batteries, and camera batteries can be taken out and recharged once low. We have an old 1960 house with very limited electrical capabilities and access. Adding power for cameras or a whole system would be a huge undertaking, if not impossible. To further simplify installation: if you don't want to use tools and screws to install, just use the command strips included! Perfect for rentals or apartments (camera mounts do need to be installed with the screws however). Design of all items (and even the packaging) is sleek, modern, and simplistic. They won't be an eyesore in your home. I have been using my system without a monitoring subscription and have been happy with the range of functionality without it, though subscriptions are only month to month, which makes it easy to add or remove as your needs change. I can view live feed of my cameras any time I want, and there is two way communication available through the camera. I get notifications to my phone when the cameras detect movement (btw the camera's video quality and range of view seem great to me, not being a camera expert by any means) but the only shortcoming is that there is absolutely no recording option without a subscription. The camera holds no footage, so you can only ever view live feed. I know there are at least a couple of brands that do allow a few hours of recorded footage before deleting it from the cloud. This would be the only complaint I have, and the only con that might lead me to look at other brands. Other than that, the ease and simplicity of set up/installation makes this a more accessible product than your traditional security systems that require a professional installer. No need for electricity provides more flexibility in where you can place certain items that might otherwise be tricky. With a monitoring service this system has just about everything you could want. Without, you lack the ability to record video (it's only downfall, IMO). Overall, a fantastic system.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this a few days before Thanksgiving and we installed that weekend. We wanted to give it at least a 2 week trial so we could truly be familiar with all functions before giving an honest opinion. Well honestly, we love it! Its got multiple functions and can actually be utilized with or without the purchased service in many ways. The main hub is sleek and honestly not an eyesore to have sitting on your countertop or desk. The control pad has many functions and the countdown is even loud enough to be heard as you're exiting. What I truly liked about it is the clarity of any intruder OR guest arriving. Unlike our old system, you see live and in COLOR everything that your cameras are pointed at. I own a property that has been half converted to both our residence and the entire bottom floor a State Licensed Daycare. I had my son approach our playground area in the backyard and set the alarm off. It is truly as LOUD as they say. I could actually see his entire face with a scar on his forehead, could almost make out the entire tattoo on his forearm, the color of his clothing and all the way down to his shoes he was wearing! The keychain is also a great added feature. The ONLY thing I didnt like and would like to have changed is the backing on the cameras. They are designed for flat, straight surfaces and because we live in Florida and have a ton of rain and storms, we like to install our cameras in the corners of the highest windows on the house. Although these are advertised as weatherproof, corner installation gives you added protection from weather, as well as your clarity remains the same during bad rain storms because the roof ledge keeps all the rainwater off your lens. Other that that, I would've definitely given this system 5 Stars! I highly recommend this product as well as we will continue to use it and most likely expand by purchasing more from Simplisafe as Add Ons.

While I've had no problems at the lake, I feel much safer with the new outdoor security system. I especially like the outdoor security cameras that shine a spotlight when someone approaches the house. Let's hope this security system isn't needed (but the added protection is nice).

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had my Simplisafe Outdoor Security System for about a month. Each component is of the highest quality with fantastic resolution. The best feature aside from safety is the simplicity of the setup. My family and I are 100% pleased and no longer peek through our blinds to see who is at our front door. Last week a delivery service left someone else's groceries at my front door and because of my new outdoor camera, I was able to catch the driver in time ensuring that the food was then delivered to the correct address. I highly recommend this security camera to both business and residential home owners.

The cameras are awesome with such clear pictures. And the wide angle view allows me to see so much. Installation and set up were quite easy. The monthly charge for recording video is very reasonable. The only thing I can't comment on is battery life. The camera is set to high resolution and alert, so I'm hoping that doesn't drain it too quickly. Time will tell! In the meantime, I'm loving this system.

Upon installation I realized that was silly because it one of the easiest things I've ever installed. Just charged up the cameras and screwed them in desired locations, screwed the door alarms on. Everything was so simple! To top it off the security cameras are great! I feel like I'm filming through my cell phone! Gonna purchase the door bell camera next!
