Very EZ to install -- even a no tech DIY klutz can do it ---we've been using it for a month -- the FAQ's and "HELP" are easy to follow and offer great insight for "customizing" your application or location -- it's too bad our city has devolved into a situation where a security system is necessary to provide some piece of mind -- it's been fun to see what happens when one is not at home --

Great system, easy to set up and install. Everything worked perfectly right out of the box. Cameras have very clear pictures, and the two-way voice communication is awesome. Would recommend to anyone looking for a security system.

I was looking to add one outdoor camera to my SimpliSafe system and the price of this package, with two cameras, plus other components, was cheaper that buying one camera.

Very good system. Was very easy to install. I will probably add another camera later. Batteries seem to last a long time so charging them every 3 months isn't an issue. You can check the battery level via your app so you know when they are getting low. Picture on the videos are excellent and you can always zoom in.

Straightforward & quick to set up. Cameras are easily mounted (did mine on wood) and setting them up through the app was easy as well.

All of the sensors work very well and super easy to setup. The down side to me is you have to pay in order to see motion recordings on the camera. Arlo does it for free.

I've been SimpliSafe subscriber for years. I still highly recommend the security system. The wireless outdoor cameras are an entirely different thing. For one they are HUGE, lightweight, but huge. They were nearly impossible to pair to my wi-fi. I think in an attempt to make setup seem simple they skipped set up a step or two. (Yes, I tried it on my 2.4GHz network) It's been weeks and the one camera that I can clearly see on the application still reports that it was "unable to connect" each and every time that I set the alarm. The picture on the camera is beautiful, but it takes 30-40 seconds to get a live feed at times. This may be me, but I cannot locate where to control the detection options. I have driven my car in my back yard and through my back yard and the camera did not detect an event. I can understand AI ignoring passing cars on a front porch camera facing a road, but even then if the car is coming straight at it then it should record an event. The event only triggered minutes after I got out of my car.

I have the minimum internet requirements recommended by Simplisafe however it isn't good enough. Cameras are delayed by at least 5 minutes and for security purposes, a lot can happen in 5 minutes. I wouldn't recommend for someone who lives in rural area that does not have traditional cable/ fiber optic internet service. I even tried a Wifi booster and all that did was allow the system to initially work/setup. No fault of Simplisafe I guess.

Company claims self monitored free however for any use on your phone you must pay a subscription fee
