They are about what I expected - edible but not like a fresh-made sandwich. They need more meat and vegetables, but they will do when you need a quick meal. The kids love them but I wouldn't buy them again.

I did not try the thaw and heat method. The bread was not mushy at all, so that was good. The cheese was not evenly spread across the meat like it's pictured, but it was still good. It was also pleasing to me as I don't like a sandwich full of extras like tomatoes, onions, lots of sauce. The beef says it's seasoned and you can taste it slightly but it not overly seasoned or too strong. It was also just the right size to me; I don't require a big sandwich. It was filling. It maybe could use a little mayonnaise but not a lot. The packaging shows it has a lot of salt but I don't taste it and I normally would if the salt is overbearing. It was really easy to heat up and was not too hot when I took it out. It did not burn my mouth like a lot of products do when you eat them right out of the microwave. It would be great to take to work for lunch or a quick meal at night. I do recommend Raybern's Philly Cheesesteak.

No it isn't quite the same as fresh but if you can't have fresh it's a good alternative. I like that I can keep them frozen until I'm ready to eat them. We've bought them before and we will probably buy them again at some point. It's a good sandwich to have in the freezer for when you need a quick meal.

Not always sure what to expect with frozen, premade food but I was pleasantly surprised by the quality, taste, and freshness of these sandwiches.
