Awesome Awesome!

I highly recommend this for kids. I bought this for my grandson who is 5yrs old and 2yr old twin granddaughters. They screamed with joy when they seen it and haven’t stopped playing on it. Priceless to see how much they love it! Thank you!

Remarkable

Must Have. Set up isn’t hard, everything is boxed and bagged in sets. It’s perfect for my 3 year old and 10 year old. And let’s be honest, also for my 45 year old husband lol. Basically whole family fun.

Loves it, takes a bit to build

I just finished building it today, so I can't speak to some of the longevity concerns mentioned here, but overall our family loves the Charleston Lodge so I'm giving it a 5/5. We had zero missing or broken pieces, and a bunch of left over hardware, so no concerns there. The build was pretty straightforward, but here are some things to consider: First, if you're ordering this, you have at least one kid. What are they going to do while you're working on this? It took me mostly solo but with the intermittent help of my wife and a friend 2.5 days to build this. My kida, despite their excitement and best efforts, did not help the process. A low point in our morale was when they "re-organized" the pieces and hardware after my wife carefully laid them out in alphabetical/numerical order (the directions say to lay them out by step, c'mon this is real life who has time for that? Alphabetical worked just fine until The Great Scrambling occurred). If you can send the kids to Grandma's house for the weekend and surprise them with this after the build, do that. Next, do open all the boxes and inventory everything. They seem to be organized by what will fit in a package vs. box 1, then box 2, etc. Take the time to open every box and lay everything out before you get started. I did not have any wood split*, but I did a pilot hole for every screw. Do this. Unless you're a big fan of cruel and unusual punishment, have at least a speed load attachment for your drill, or better yet, a second drill so you can have one with the 1/8" drill and one with the weird square driver so you can move quicker. The slide went together just fine, just be ready to muscle some pieces into alignment. Some small specific pointers; install the clock before you out that panel in. You'll need to have an adult in the upstairs to hold the backing boards again the clock from the inside. My 5 year old wasn't strong enough to do it and bonus now we know it can support my wife upstairs. Also, like mentioned in other reviews, check the door hinge location, they will need to be narrower than you'd think to avoid conflicting with some bracing flanges. In real life, it's possibly cuter than the pictures show. If you're on the fence, just buy it, your kids will love it and you'll feel like a hero after you assemble it. Oh one last pointer, maybe build it during a cooler time of the year than August. 🥵

Well built!

This is a nice well designed play set. The instructions are difficult to understand and you are better off downloading them from the internet. This is very time consuming to assemble but the final product is worth it. Two of us assembled it in two days with all of the right tools and a lot of fabrication/assembly history.

Great purchase, excellent swing set.

Easier to build compared to other sets we have owned in the past. Looks good and big enough for my 3 kids to enjoy.

Tarzan!

The children were so excited, they had to "help" build it just to get on it. The quality is quite good, and its very nicely and aesthetically designed. The only hold back, the swing beam could be a little longer, by like a foot. The swings are too close, especially the inside swing by the tree house. assembly was as expected. It took three men and an assistant about 18 hours to assemble (or about 32 man hours). The tube slide took 8 hours alone. Definitely do this...Unpack and sort parts by their number, letter and digit, you'll think you're playing battle ship. Dont be intimidated by the massive box of nuts, bolts, and screws, they are all labeled. Have someone go page by 116 pages and create bags of hardware per page. If you can, also have someone pulling parts for the next steps. You will save an immense amount of time by not hunting for parts and hardware. Also, make sure you get the right boxes. We received two tube slides and no wave slide. Had to make a second trip back to get the right slide.

Really nice set up for the kids!

As learned in many reviews, this took a few days to finish. What prolonged the completion was needing to make a few trips to Home Depot for missing hardware. At the price, there is no excuse for this. I have been amazed by other products where the hardware is well accounted for by the manufacturer. But most important, now that it is down, is to see how much my grand kids love it.

Small but cute

I bought this set on sale. If I paid full price I would be disappointed as it appears larger in pictures. Directions are not the best but manageable.

Cute, But probably better with poly

Nice swing set. Would be better if there was another way besides just the rock wall to get up it. Also, I’ve had it up 2 months and it’s already got mold on the side. I’m guessing their stain isn’t super durable. I’m in PA and it’s summer.

Poor Quality & Outgrown Early

This is our 2nd KidKraft swingset. We bought this one because we moved and loved our old one so much. Quality has gone down hill in the past 5 years! The slides are weak & flimsy, the swing bar is 20 inches shorter which makes it easy for the kids to swing into each other, and the height of the bottom club house is so short now that my petite 7 year old cannot even stan up straight in the bottom. The shrinking of the playset height is the biggest negative because this playset advertises that it's intended to be used to age 10. This is VERY misleading! Expect your children to outgrow the bottom clubhouse and the swings around age 7. To extend the use, we have bought new metal chain swings which can be adjusted more than the provided rope swings, but I bought a rubber coated swing and had to painstakingly remove many inches of rubber coating just to make the swing high enough for my 7 year old because the swing bar is so much shorter than most standard playsets. This is a great playset for preschoolers but will be outgrown long before your kids are ready to be done playing on it.
