Made this purchase right before black friday... It was a good sale that I could not pass up. Researched this tv vs a Vizio - This one had better reviews. Upgraded from a 40inch roku tv(had a 55 prior to this that did not last long). It looks great. Sounds great. It has kicked me off the internet (but it could be my wifi) I am getting used to the apps. I don't like the remote too much because I like a much more simpler one but I'll get used to it. Love this tv. Great for price.

Good image, wobbly feet

Crisp, vivid image, easy plug and play functionality... but wobbly feet. The image quality if fantastic, as is the size- feels like the sweet spot for most living rooms. The smart-tv functionality is great, but absolutely no Plex functionality - you have to connect your phone or other device via bluetooth to run it. Minor annoyance, but an annoyance nonetheless. The 2 sets of feet are really wobbly. Painfully wobbly. This is the biggest downside to this otherwise great tv. Even on a very stable tv desk or furniture, your tv will move and sway with every bit of vibration in your room. If you are in a concrete floored room, you should be ok, but otherwise be aware.

Definitely not what I expected

I wanted a great picture and rapid refresh rate. I did get that, but I also got the LG proprietary package that controls the entire system and won't work unless I consent to full accessing of my viewing choices. Additionally, it doesn't have the Roku operating system. SO, in short, I simply paid a lot of money for a good TV monitor. I have my portable Roku attached via one of the HMDI ports and my Dish in another and use those independently of the proprietary operating system of the TV. I gave it 2 stars for the picture quality, the sound system is worse than the 2005 Samsung that it replaced.

We bought this 4K TV to assess the quality of video from a 4K camera since there is very little being broadcast or streaming in 4K, at this time. The TV is of very good quality and has a lot of internet streaming options available. Don't much care for the "We'll be right back" breaks in the streaming service. It has only 2 HDMI inputs ... could use 2 more. The Signal Strength meter is difficult to get to when assessing over-the-air reception.

Samsung just gets worse

Took forever just to get it set up to go back to TV when I turn it back on. Lose stations at certain times? It'll delete them. And of course Samsung refuses to add manual tuning at the RF level. Makes me think that they are afraid of the quality of their tuner. Often the remote can't keep up with me, meaning it goes somewhere totally other than I intended. Exit now takes you home now and it's hard to get back to broadcast. And why in the world do the channel numbers appear on the right midway up sometimes and others at the bottom left when changing channels in Samsung TV Plus?

Why did I switch brands

I replaced my 55" Vizio with this Samsung. Setting it up was a pain because it wouldn't connect even though I have strong wifi. The sound and picture are both good, better than the Vizio, but that TV was about 4 years old. What I really dislike about this is the remote. Most everything that I use on the remote is toward the bottom, which makes it uncomfortable to hold. It's also hard to see in dim light. Another dislike is the way it is set up to begin with. Maybe I was too comfortable with Vizio's set up, but Samsung seems to be more difficult to navigate. I'm hoping that I will get used to this and enjoy it.

This is a great tv. Crystal clear and you can watch it from the side! It was very easy to set up. However, the first one I ordered arrived with a cracked screen. Sams club customer service was very prompt in reordering another one & Fed Ex picked it up the next day. I received the replacement within a week. The Fed Ex guys helped me unpack it to make sure it wasn't cracked! It was perfect! It certainly made me feel better about ordering something that big & expensive from Sam's Club.
