To call this "hot cocoa' would be an insult to chocolate. The powder is mostly sugar and milk with very little chocolate. Just looking at it on the spoon, the color is more whitish than brown. It looks, and tastes, like you made a really nice hot cocoa, dumped half of it out and added water to make up the volume. The flavor is so weak that you might think you are having a sugary vanilla drink rather than a hot cocoa. It is also very frothy/soapy; don't know what that is about. The whole 4lb container, and the cup I made, just went in the trash. Save you money, even Swiss Miss is better than this.

I found what looks like dried rat feces in the contents of recently purchased container.

Nice Cocoa mix and perfect for cold rainy days. I make it with milk instead of water. It’s a bit on the sweet side. I wish they had a dark cocoa version of this product. Container is an excellent price for the size.

Good cocoa mix but I have had better, It may be the difference between milk and dark chocolate mixes. I prefer the less sweet, richer flavor of the dark chocolate hot cocoa mix

Not enough chocolate to sugar ratio. If you use the suggested amount, there is not enough cocoa flavor, and if you put in more powder, the chocolate flavor is good, but it is too sweet. Price is right tho'. So what I do to balance it out, is to add about 3/4 tsp straight cocoa powder to each cup. You'll need to dissolve the cocoa and the mix in boiling water. Then, when you've got a slurry, pour in hot milk. Will not be buying this again, as it is too much of a hassle to get a cup of hot chocolate. Land O Lakes is my fav.

Good size for a good price!

This is a great value for the price. It brings home a great and very flavorful hot chocolate drink. Enough for the whole family or a large crowd.

We really like the taste of Stephen's Hot Cocoa. Unfortunately we can never find it in the store so have to do it through online.

Stephen's Gourmet Hot Cocoa is my favorite hot chocolate mix. It is rich in flavor and absolutely delicious. I especially like the Mint hot cocoa. I only wish Sam's would carry it on the store floor rather than having to order online.

Stephen's is great hot coco mix for both water and milk. In fact it is the best mix for water because it doesn't taste as watered down. Come winter season, a cup of this not only warms the soul but also tastes amazing.
