I have exclusively used only the Fresh Step with Febreeze Multi-Cat clumping litter and I have never been sorry. Most people are surprised to find out we have cats, they go into our downstairs bathroom and see the litter box but there is never an odor, and I am especially thankful for that, because my younger cat, Pixel has some REALLY stinky #2's and it is nice to know that this litter has enough odor fighting power to keep that in check.

I would not recommend this litter to anyone sensitive to strong smells/perfumes. When I first put the litter in the litterbox, I didn't mind the scent -- a little strong for my taste, but generally clean-smelling. However, I later noticed that when I walked in the front door, I could smell the Febreze scent...and my litterbox is enclosed in a piece of furniture, in the laundry room on the opposite end of the house from the front door! It took several weeks before I stopped noticing the scent, and even then, it was only after I added in some unscented litter.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought over a month ago a 42 lb pkg, as far as odor control and tracking, is the best litter I have had in years, 90% dust free is false. i have a lot of dust in laundry room and bathroom from the litter. Is not dust free or even 90% dust free. Other than that, am very happy with your litter

I bought this litter because I was disappointed in the lightweight litter and wanted to try something different. This new Fresh Step Multi-Cat litter with the power of febreze is my favorite to date. It holds up to the use of two cats, there is way less tracking than the lightweight litter, and the clumping action is superior as well. I am a very happy customer.

My only concern was how pungent the Febreze smell was ~~ I realize it's cat litter, but it's a bit strong & I have to mix it in with unscented to keep from overwhelming my kitties.

It'seems so much easier to remove the waste and still keep some (usually a lot) of litter remaining in the box for reuse. Now add the fragrance, which smells awesome, to the mix and you have a great product. So glad they came out with this option.

I have tried several different brands of cat litter but Fresh Step litter is the best. It has great odor control and low dust. It clumps firmly and the scent is pleasant but not too strong. I find that Fresh Steps odor control is even better than Tidy Cat. Fresh Step is pretty reasonably priced and I love the Paw Points program.

I prefer Fresh Step unscented but I do purchase this on occasion. The new formula is less dusty as advertised and I really appreciate that. Smells good, not overpowering. The most important thing is that my cats love Fresh Step. I have set up boxes with pretty much every brand of litter available and they always choose Fresh Step!
