As a guardian of 5 rescued cats, I use A LOT of Kitty litter. We recently had 2 couples & 2 toddlers visit us for 4 days. I was, naturally, concerned that there would be odor from the litter boxes, even though I remove the waste product every day from the 4 inside boxes. Let me add that 2 of our cats prefer to spend their days outside, if the weather is nice, so I feel 4 inside boxes is sufficient. Before our company left, one of the ladies complimented me on how nice the house looked, and that she was surprised to not detect ANY ODORS from the litter boxes. She even admitted that she had actually EXPECTED to smell the litter boxes!( BTW, she is family, so we are very open with our thoughts.) NO ODORS! What a relief that was to me. No one wants to think their house stinks!

I sift the box daily and am happy to report that the fresh smell lasted several weeks.

I've used Fresh Step MultiCat for 2 years now. I tried a couple other litters when I first got my 2 cats (I think Arm & Hammer and Tidy Cats), but found the this one formed clumps way better, which are easier to remove. My cats do tend to track a bit of litter out of the box, not sure why. I haven't noticed a big difference in scent with the Febreze added, but I have recently realized it really does have less "dust" than its old formula. When I used to pour a new box/bag in the litter pan, it would kick up a cloud of dust. Now it does not. Great job! Thanks!

This is hands down the best litter for odor control. I have 3 cats and my guests are always surprised I have indoor cats. I would never use anything else! Plus the size is very convenient and the plastic bags take up a lot less room in landfills than some of the other major litters in their large, hard plastic pails.

I've been using Fresh Step for years because it offered a multi-cat unscented formula. I was hesitant to try a scented formula because I wasn't sure my cats would like it. Initially I bought the smallest box available, but now I buy the largest box because it is more economical. My cats use the litter box with no hesitation and the little clumps great.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I buy the Fresh Step Multi Cat and Fresh Step Extreme interchangeably, and you can't beat them. I'll occasionally pick up a different brand at the store in a pinch and there is SUCH a difference! This is the best litter for low-tracking, odor blocking/pleasant smell and clumping. Other brands' scents almost exaggerate the "used litter" smell, and are difficult to clean as they mush rather than clump. I'll never go back!
