My husband recently came home and said, "What's that smell?!!!" I immediately thought, oh no, the litter box must stink. I asked him, "What smell?" He said it smells fresh and clean and to keep doing what I was doing. So, that sold me on Freshstep - Multi-Cat Scented Litter with Febreze. We only have one cat, but he used to stink up the house!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love all of fresh steps litters and this one smells great! The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because it did make mike cat sneeze more but she tends to be sensitive to smells to begin with!

We have used Fresh Step for a couple years now for our 4 cats. It worked great to help cut down on the smells but it was very dusty when pouring into the pans. The new formula has much less (almost none) when pouring into the pans. I haven't noticed a difference in the smell since febreze has been added, it works the same as it always did. The lower dust is a much added bonus.

I have used Fresh Step for years with my 2 cats. I moved to a "tiny house" in July 2015 and, with the limited space I have, the litter box is now right next to my bed. I tried the Febreeze Fresh Step because it was the only option in my store, but the smell was overwhelming all the time, and trying to get to sleep with that smell in my room was not pleasant. (I do admit that I am sensitive to artificial odors, such as candles and many hand lotions.) When I learned there was an "unscented" option, I switched immediately and have been VERY happy since. Other than the smell, though, the Febreeze litter worked as well as Fresh Step Multi-Cat always does!

I bought this litter when my store was out of our normal Fresh Step litter. I was hesitant in buying it because I didn't know how our cats would like the smell of the Febreze. Just like the other scoopable/clumping litters, this one did not fail. The clumps were tight and compact. The Febreze scent kept the odor low and minimal.

At times there are 15 cats in for a time. I buy the 42lb 4 pack and it last me 2weeks. at any time the can be 8 litter boxes working. This is the best I ever used. I have tried all of the others and nothing save me money and works the way FreshStep

I have one cat, but she has digestive issue which can lead to some pretty smelly bathroom breaks. With this litter though I don't smell it all. I combine it with some litter deodorizer and then line the box with a litter box bag. After a week I throw the whole thing out. During that time you'd swear I didn't have a cat, no smell at all. It's quality litter and it's what I'll keep using as long as I can.

I have been a loyal Fresh Step user for years. Now I find myself looking for an alternative, as my local grocery store now only stocks the Febreze variety of Fresh Step. The scent is way too strong and actually made it hard for me to breath as I poured it into the litter boxes. My cats also seemed to shy away from it. A couple of my cats even sought other locations to "do their business", refusing to to climb into the box with the new litter.

I have never come across a litter with better clumping and odor destroying power than this product. It is the ONLY litter I use, and I've tried all the name name brands. Thanks!!!!

I lived in a small house with 5 dogs and 3 cats. When my family (who are not cat owners) visited, they were amazed that there was no detectable little box odor. With Fresh Step Multi-Cat, no one knows you have an active litter box, and isn't that the goal?
