The litter itself, right out of the box, smelled like decomposition. What's up with that? Then, it wouldn't clump. Got my money back, swore on a box of Fresh Step I'd never stray again, now Marky-Mark and I live happily ever after. The End. Meow.

At the suggestion of a contractor working at my house, I tried Fresh Step Multi-Cat litter with Febreze. He said his wife swears by it! And, boy, was he right! With two cats, the small room we had their two litter boxes in was getting pretty stinky. I would not have believed that a change in litter brand could make that much of a difference. But it did! Changing out both boxes to this litter has eliminated ALL odor and the Febreze scent is fresh. I recommend this to all cat owners!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have tried all sorts of cat litters for our 4 cats but Fresh Step is by far the best at controlling the smells associated with the litter box. We buy two boxes every three weeks and our home stays fresh smelling.

This product does a great job at keeping the room where the litter box is stored from smelling horrible. It makes it easy to clean up the messes. The only downfall is my cat is able to track this litter everywhere, despite having a litter mat underneath and surrounding the litter box.

But I noticed the scent immediately when I opened the box. I am well pleased with this litter. It clumps and holds together to allow for effective scooping and seems to control odor.
