[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently switched cat litter to an off brand and immediately switched back to Fresh Step! No other litter blocks odor and clumps as well as this! Plus the packaging isn’t a plastic jug, so it’s better for the environment!

I go through a lot of litter, having 3 large cats in my household. The last few times I bought Fresh Step, I noticed it said it had Febreze in it. It works much better at preventing odors than the former kind of Fresh Step that didn't have Febreze in it. Now, the only time I can detect that I have a litterbox is when my guys get too lazy to bury what they make. The one complaint I have about this product is that it is easily tracked around my house. Indoor cats with long hair get long tufts of fur between their toes, so this means I get litter all over my house.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my preferred litter for all cats. We currently have two large cats and a kitten and this is the only litter that hides any and all scent from our boys. This is the only litter that hides that "litter box" smell!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used Fresh Step for twelve years and love the new litter with Febreze. With several cats I have noticed the changed in the litter boxes all for the good. This litter has really made a difference by cutting down the odor in my litter boxes. Thank you!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really loved this cat little probably more then my five cats do. I clean the little every day and with our other brand the dust was really bad. With fresh step their was no dust and with a person with asthma this litter is awesome to use.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] One day I was short on money so I tried a less expensive brand of litter and boy did I find out cheaper is not better, I found out that my cats only like Fresh Step litter because they showed me by using the bathroom on the floor beside the litter box, I went beck to Fresh step and the urinating on the floor stopped instantly, I guess they told me. I will never go cheap again.

I used a competitors brand of multi-cat clumping litter. Instead of masking the odor, it amplified it. My entire house smelled like a million cats defecated in it. Thanks to Fresh Step, litter box odors are clumped and placed in the receptacle (in my automatic litter box). My cats are happier, I am happier and most importantly my neighbors will not call the authorities on me, because they think a million cats live in my house, when I only have two.

Great clumping, but I liked the previous version of the product--without Febreeze scent better. When my cats leave the litter box, they smell like perfume. I would prefer a more neutral smell or no scent. Why is everyone putting Febreeze scent in their products?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As soon as I poured this into a newly cleaned box I had a bad feeling about this product. First, I've been using Fresh Step for over 9 years w/my kitties and even my grandparents used this brand for their cats. Second, don't plan to change to any other brand as its done me well with pick up and general ease. I just cannot give this particular product a 5. The added febreeze is extremely uneccessary especially with the mutlicat formula. The perfume as you pour it is overly powerful and I don't think I'm that sensitive on smell but this was too much. The two of them definitely didn't like it either. Someone kept doing #2right outside the litter box for several days. The other would gp #1right in the corner nears the swing door and it would seep out as if it was like a #1 and run type thing. When I changed it to the light weight multi at no problems at all! Hopefully they carry the lightweight in more stores.

Maybe they have now changed the packaging but my husband & I hate the plastic package with the flexible plastic handle. Very difficult to pick up especially when moving it into the shopping cart from the display. Since we have four cats we do like the product but wish it had better packaging for easier handling.
