I have 2 cats at home and sometimes their box doesn't get cleaned out every day. Before this litter, you could tell it had been several days. Now, it smells clean - no cat litter stink - for several days. Maybe that's why I forget to clean it out?! And I love the low dust formula. Hate sweeping up that fine dust some litter has.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As people, we prefer freshstep with febreeze. It contains the odors more than several other clumping litters. Of course none of my 4 cats comment on the smell All but the one faithfully use litter boxes, the 4th guy is old and his lack of desire to use the litter box hasn't particularly increased with the additional febreeze. My only complaint is the Dust that gets stirred up when adding litter to box, cat uses box, scooping out the box. It feels like there is a fine layer of cat litter dust within a 20 ft radius of the cat box, and I can always tell when one has used the box, his next stop is to walk across me and share the dust. I know clay is dusty by nature, but if you could figure out how to get rid of the dust, We'd never buy anything else.

The only critique is that the litter sometimes sticks to the bottom of the litterbox and is hard to remove. Maybe you could add something to the litter to keep that from happening?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Fresh step cat litter is the best that I tried so far, it works well in my home with 2 cats. My cats don't mind using it after a few times of using it, the smell from it has gone away and less cat litter out of the box...

I didn't think it did a better job compared to other non-multi-cat litters. It did about the same job. The heavy fragrance Febreze scent is too strong and overpowering. I don't like the smell and it can't be good for my cats to be inhaling that. I prefer the unscented.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the first time I've tried clumping cat litter, though I've had cats for a long time. When they were young, I was afraid they would try to eat it, so I have been using crystals, but they get all over the place, and really start smelling bad pretty quickly. I was surprised to find that FreshStep clumping keeps smelling good. (I'm sure the Febreze helps!) I've just got to get used to scooping up the big clumps that come from their urine.

When I got a second cat we needed a bit more out of the litter and this multicat works perfectly at keeping odor down with multiple cats in a home.
