I searched for months for a quality set at a reasonable price that had enough activities to keep my kids attention. After all that searching I kept coming back to this set. The Skyfort was in the middle of the road for price and quality but offered by far the most activities for the money. If you purchase this item, your kids will love it. I ordered it for my kids for Christmas. It took about 10 days to recieve. I put it together myself over 3 weekends (about 30 total man hours - far less than the 48 man hours the book says). My recommendations however are you put a good sealer on it shortly after assembly and take your time and follow the instructions during assembly. The instructions are better than usual but not perfect. You will have hardware left over as it appears they use a standard hardware pack for every playset in their product line. I actually assembled a lot of it in the garage and then took it outside and put it in place. Also take your time and inventory and organize the pieces, this will save you time in the long run.

Shopped around all over looking for a playset with many activities. Can't beat all that this Skyfort comes with for the price. All boxes can be picked-up in a pickup truck with tie-downs for the slide. Spend the time to sort/organize all the parts before you start. Makes progress easier (needed to order one P1 -no problem- shipped right away). Make sure you start with a level base (very important!). Check the level throughout the build. Directions were ok, just read a little ahead as you go. I used corded drills to drive lags and cordless drills for driving the screws. My daughter (2 1/2) loves it and I had to shovel a foot of snow out around it so she could swing and slide!

This set is perfect! My three year old loves it so far, and our infant will certainly one day too. The three year old requests to eat at the picnic table for every meal. We did add a steering wheel and a baby swing for our infant. We aren’t going to add sand but usually put a picnic blanket on that side for the grown ups to join picnics! We can’t wait to have this addition for friends kids when they come over too. I highly recommend organizing all wood/screw prior to starting anything. That will save a lot of time and headache. My husband didn’t think it would take as long as I suggested because “that’s probably for people who don’t use tools often or read drawings.” Assembly takes every bit of 40 hours. He had several helpers at different points so between everyone, I’d say it took us (mostly him) 45ish hours. We are missing three bolts and have a few damaged boards, and the stain is peeling up in some places prior to assembly. Overall though, it looks amazing and was worth the time spent to build it. The monkey bars and height of each level will allow the kids to play on it much longer than a smaller set. I read reviews about the slide coming in three pieces; ours was one solid piece. We did not experience the issues we read about in other reviews. I highly recommend this set with the knowledge it will take you time to build and you’ll need to stain/tighten bolts every year!

It took us couple years to decide which swing set to get for our kids and I feel this swing set is the best choice on the market for the value. The only reason I had to take a star off is the instructions and packaging, it really should had been done easier for the customer, like, everything for first steps in the first box, second - in the next. But to get even started we had to take everything out and sort it out in piles of letters and numbers, had to do the same for hardware. First steps went pretty smooth but when we started assembling the main part there was trouble. The instructions did not have very clear picture of exact position how some part should be screwed so quite a few times we had to go back and re-do steps (or if we went too far just made new holes ourselves). It took us about a week working 1-2 hours a day to complete it so I think it wasn't so bad. Now, two months later kids are still enjoying playing there and having friends over. So I think it was a good choice without breaking the budget.

Wanted something to help get the kids out of the house more when the weather was nice. We live so far away from the closest park, so I wanted something close to home, so we got this play set. A neighbor and I put it together in a few afternoons and we had no problems. Once up, it looks really good and the kids really love it!

It looks great and once set up, it looks great, however, the wood is not best quality...a lot of it is warped. It takes forever to install. We had 3 people working on it and so far it has taken us 25 hours. We still have the swings to put on and accessories.

This is an exellent choice for the money! The playset has all the features growing children are drawn to, so we are more than pleased with the finished product. The assembly was quite a chore though, and it made me consider (more than once) whether or not we really saved money by choosing to assemble it ourselves. It took my husband and brother (both fairly handy) and myself (pretty darn organized) about 50 hours to complete this project. That includes my inventory of the boards and hardware. The instructions were confusing and even wrong at times. Make sure you always refer to the pictures (finished, glossy pictures, not the ones in the directions) when the directions are confusing! We also found some boards had pre-drilled holes in poor locations (sometimes off a little, other times off a lot). I make these contributions so others aren't surprised. We were able to put the entire thing together despite these hurdles, with the exception of the last board on the roof near the crow's nest. We placed the small cross-boards too high (still think we followed the directions) and now must cut notches in that board to make it fit. Shouldn't be too difficult. Now that the playset is complete (or essentially), our 5 year old daughter and nephew cannot get enough of it!! We have very young twins who we expect will enjoy it every bit as much when they get a little older. We are very happy we made this investment of both money and time - now that it has been finished for a week! ;)

This is great for grand kids to play on, they love it. Delivery on this was very quick. It's a job to put together , the instructions are a little hard to follow as far as whats in and out side. We were short a couple of boards and some hardware, but we called them up and we received the items very quickly.

This took about 23 hours for my husband to put together. I helped some (mostly by finding the boards/hardware that he needed next and by keeping the kids out of the way); our 8 year old helped quite a bit too-he got very good at finding the boards we needed. The fort is quite large and sturdy. The entire set is well built and I think it was last a long time...the only drawback is the time it takes to put together, but that is to be expected with a set of this size. Overall, we're pleased with this purchase. One of the barrel nuts was missing and two of the links that hold the chains to the swing seats were defective. I called the manufacturer and they are sending out the parts by FedEx. The lady I talked to was polite and efficient.

Very large and sturdy set. My wife and I are both fairly mechanically inclinced and choose to put it together ourselves. It was not overly difficult, but it did take us close to 16 hours total. Overall I would definitley recommmend this product, especailly for the price.
