Purchaced for my 4 yr old daughter. 8 yr old sons loves it too. My 12 yr old is really almost too big, but he doesnt care. Overall very good quality, very strong and sturdy product. Goes together fairly easily. I am a moderately skilled do-it-yourselfer and took me 3.5 days basicly by myself. Some help from my 8 and 12 yr old sons. Holding pieces while I bolt together and fetching parts for me. Two skilled people would be maybe half the time. After all playset is big and good quality so it will take some time to assemble. I highly recomend inventory all wood parts and spread out in the yard. Makes it much easier to see if you have any missing parts and easier to locate next needed part during assembly. I was missing 2 boards one P1 and one SC4. Called company and no problem to ship out FedEx 3 or 4 days. (Free of course) For the boards I was missing I was able to complete assembly and install when parts arrived. Instructions were pretty good, need to be more specific in some areas. (Helps to read, not just look at pics) There is really no fabrication with this set, but I did have to trim a couple of small boards on the ends of bay windows. (I am picky and a analytical) I highly recomend pre-fitting swing beam A1 when installing B8 and K19. Also make sure to level playset on the ground and level all main beams. Use soap to on lag and wood screws. Set does need a good wood sealer and is recommended to do it annually. Set should last for a very long time. (Small kids should easily be able to outgrow the set before set would need to be replaced.) Like I said overall good quality and very sturdy. I am 200lbs and it hold me fine when I play on it too. ;-)

We've had this about a year. This swingset is a monstrosity to put together, but doable and worth it unless you want to pay $$ to have somebody else do it for you. We have 4 kids, ages 2, 4, 6, 8. They all are able to enjoy lots of things on this. (I wouldn't get this swingset if you only have children younger than 5. Our 2 and 4 year olds are much more adventurous at those ages than our older ones were. Our 2 year old can do the "rocket rider" by himself, but it's because he's trying to keep up with older siblings.) A few hardware pieces were missing, but a quick call to the manufacturer explaining what we needed and they were in the mail and delivered within a few days. Great Customer Service! We painted it with a deck stain that's supposed to last 6 years. The directions say to coat it (or stain it or paint it...I don't remember exactly what it says), but they don't give any specifications as to what kind of product you're supposed to you. They also say to do it every year. We opted to use something that's supposed to last longer than a year so that we don't have to treat it every year. The bottom floor of the clubhouse was not completely flat and we had honeybees move in; fortunately we caught it early and found a bee keeper to come remove them (for free!...plus the kids learned a lot about bees from watching her get them out.) Sooo...a word of caution, make sure the floor is completely flat. Also, we've had spiders build webs in various places, but that's to be expected. Again, just a caution to check periodically and clean them out. Neither of those are problems with the manufacturing or design of the unit. The only thing I would complain about is the screws that are used for screwing in the bottom floor of the clubhouse and for screwing the picnic table top on have rusted to where you could pull up the floor pieces. My husband took all of them out and put in longer wood screws. Some of the screws had broken off just below the head, some were half there, very few were doing their job. We live in an area with a lot of humidity, so that may have contributed; for whatever reason, the screws didn't last long at all. (That's the reason for 4 stars instead of 5.) Overall it's a good investment and the kids have had hours of enjoyment on it in the past year and I foresee them playing on it for many years to come.

Instructions were excellent and assembly was time consuming but overall smooth and easy. The play set is awesome, the only part lacking is the swings. They are a bit too close together for safe swinging with 3 swings all in use. We try to leave the middle swing empty. Wish the swing beam was a little longer to spread them out further. The entire playset creaks when the swings are in use which is a little sketchy until you get used to it. Kids are 5 and 2.5 and are really loving the playset.

I read all the previous reviews before I purchased this product and everyone was spot on. It does take a LONG time to assemble but the directions are amazing and very easy to follow. It is even better once you get a little way into the project as it definitely gets easier and quicker to finish steps. I would definitely suggest to sort out and inventory all the contents of the boxes before starting. It is very helpful to have one person gather wood and sort the hardware while another person supervisors and one or two people actually do the work. This will consolidate the amount of days you must work in order to complete the playset.

This was delivered 1 week after we ordered it! Wow!! it said like 3-4 weeks.. The delivery company was awesome! He even dropped it off in the back yard! it doesn't look like it would all make a giant playground being that it's only in 4 boxes but well see.. Its raining again today so I have to wait for a dry day to build it...pretty cool SAMs Club. Price here was definitely the best.

We are so close to done and my kids can’t stop talking about having their friends over to play on it. Definitely requires lots of organization, work, and time. There are a few instruction pages with misprints in the info, but it’s pretty easy to figure out.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Started this project Wednesday and placed the last bolt on Friday totalling to about 15 hours. Our Method: The builder The organizer The organizer will need to lay all 4 boxes out (the parts are scattered) and organize them by letters then numbers. The organizer will keep the book and have each step with the parts ready for the builder (this helps by avoiding over looking steps) while the builder is working on that step the organizer will prepare the following step. Once the builder completed that step the organizer will take a quit glance and ensure the step is accurate. (This helps overall accuracy) The builder will download the BILT app on their phone and use that as a secondary instruction manual with step by step and 3D animated instructions. The builder and organizer will continuously be on the same step. This method helps ease the stress. There builder doesn't have to worry about scrambling everywhere looking for parts and the organizer doesn't have to worry about the labor. This splits the work and stress down the middle. Before you know it your done. Note: Be careful with the T-Nuts as they have sharp claw edges. I sliced my finger on one when drilling the bolt into it using my hand as a guide to keep it secure it warped on me, spun and flew off while cutting my finger, ensure you hammer each T-Nut in the hole before applying the bolt with the impact wrench or drill, at times you may want to hammer the T-Nut further into the wood than just flushed, this will help it remain secure when torquing the bolt down. If the T-Nut does catch correctly it will spin against the wood and the T-Nut is warped. Use a ladder when you start the crows nest area, it's much safer and you'll have more room to work. Every time my granddaughter would go to Sam’s, she would see this Skyfort II And beg her parents for it for her birthday. Oh sets of grandparents and her parents went together and bought this for her birthday. Her daddy put it all together pretty much all by himself and of course my granddaughter loves it. As you can see from the picture from Halloween see reigns over her kingdom from the balcony.

The process of getting the playset to our home was great. However; the company that came to install (GoConfigure). Was AWFUL! They had quoted us one price and since the men did not get it done in one day, which they said they would. They called and demanded I pay another $220. If I didn't they would unassembled the entire set. UGH!! I told the men over the phone what playset they would be installing and everything. When we checked out on the SAMS website we chose playset, not swingset since that is what the product description stated. We are very unhappy.

Overall we're very happy with our purchase. I love the way it blends with our wooded setting and the kids LOVE it! That's the main thing. Free shipping was an awesome plus; the same item can be found for less on eBay but once shipping is added the price skyrockets! At times the directions weren't easy to follow. We added extra support to the platform for added safety.
