This is our 3rd in 10 years. I picked this one because it was an upgrade from out last AcuRite. The screen was stationary and it had the lightning detection. We installed it properly but the temperature is off, the rain gauge is really off and the lightning detector goes off all the time. If I turn my porch light on or off, it reads it as a lightning strike. On one sunny day we had over 375 lightning strikes. I finally took the batteries out and it sits on the corner table as a joke. I wish I could return it.

Ordered this for my husband who likes to keep up-to-the-minute with what's going on with the weather. We had an older model that finally gave out after a number of years and when he saw this one with the lightening detector, he just had to have it. So far, it's working great. We had a storm a couple of nights ago and lightening was detected several times 5 to 11 miles away from the house. Needless to say, hubby was thrilled. Good product!

Replaced an older Weather Station from a different manufacturer. This one added Lightning alerts, and I am amazed at the amount of nearby strikes. Could not be happier, easy setup, would like smartphone interface and this model does not have that function.

The outside unit is fine. The indoor monitor is difficult to read. For seniors, the text and numbers need to be larger and able to be read from an angle. We do like the lightning strike feature as it lets us know how far a storm may be.

I found it relatively easy to install the unit and set up the monitor, however I do not understand how the rain gauge part of it works. Does it empty or void the water itself every 24 hours? If so, at what time of day does it do this?

Bought As Christmas gift. Can’t get wind speed to display. Have sent 2 emails to Company for help. No response. Plan on returning product As soon as weather permits the removal from roof.

Bought it as a Christmas gift for my son-in-law. This is a guy that is hard to buy for because he pretty much has everything. He was ecstatic when he opened it. It was something he had never considered but was anxious to try it out.

I like being able to see the weather at our vacation home. The wind blows a bit near the ocean and I always want to know how much and where it’s coming from. The rain and temperature is also recorded and measured.

Love the features but there is too much information for the small display. We can’t see the forecasts unless we are real close

Everything works fine except for the lightning detector, which constantly beeps for detecting lightning that isn’t anywhere around for hundreds of miles. So, took the batteries out of the lightning detector, and the rest works great.
