[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this for the specific purpose of being able to hold overflow of food being brought to us whilst dealing with upcoming surgery and subsequent recovery. Preferred vertical freezer over chest freezer both for ease of access to food and smallest footprint. This freezer was perfect in both respects. It is frost-free and EnergyStar rated, which are two other criteria I wanted in a freezer. Installation went fairly well, though the leveling was a little more difficult than it should be, in my opinion. I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly the freezer brought the temperature down to the set temperature - did not need nearly the time specified in the manual. Also, even though this freezer is in my basement, I did not want to listen to a lot of noise and the freezer delivers - could not even hear it 10 ft away. Bottom line - this freezer cost more than I wanted to spend but the vertical type and the small footprint were my top two criteria. It was far less expensive than other freezers meeting this criteria. So far it has worked great and I really like it. Plus, I also have the option, once the additional freezer space is no longer required, of switching to refrigerator mode and using it for storing drinks and snacks. Would I buy it again? Hell, yeah!

The layout and functionality is very good. The refrigerator/Freezer is very sleek and clean looking from a design standpoint. It's very easy to transition from refrigerator to freezer. All in all a very good buy, this fits our needs and very happy with the purchase.

I have a small home and have never had enough space for a traditional upright freezer. However this narrow size is perfect for my small home. I also love all of the drawers instead of shelves. Nothing gets shoved to the back and forgotten, you can easily see and access everything.

The refrigerator compressor went down in my refrigerator and I needed a freezer while storing some things with the neighbor. I saw this freezer/refrigerator and decided it would be great for my needs. It has a very spacious foot print and fits in the garage nicely. Easy to find what you are looking for and does a fantastic job at maintaining a constant freeze temperature. Food does not get defrosted and iced up like in the refrigerator/freezer due to the high swings in temperature for defrosting needs. So far this has been a dream come true and the way freezers should be made. I have changed my kitchen now to the Samsung induction stove/oven and the convection microwave which work together quite nicely. Samsung definiatly has the user in mind in creating their appliances.

Biggest mistake ever made. Should have read more reviews.. Great design, filled the freezer. Bought in Nov 2023, 3 months later went from blowing cold air to blowing hot air. Everything was lost as the freezer became an oven while i was at work. Took over a month for them to finally get the parts they said needed, come out and fix it. Loads of lost work time as they scheduled, canceled, rescheduled, canceled, then give an all day window. They put all new lines, motherboard, etc. Then 2 days later stops working. A total nightmare of a freezer and the loss work time, loss of all the food was very costly.

I really like this fridge, in fact, I want to buy another one, but the problem is that the door ajar alarm does not turn on, or I can't figure it out, and I have tried different options so sometimes I find a puddle of water when the door was left open. I also wish they would fix the website to link to the options for glass alternatives rather than me having to find out which will work with this tall column.

Like the size and shape but stopped chilling in 2 years. Loss of functionality in 2 years is unacceptable for a expensive appliance. I lost everything that was in it. It's impossible to get them fixed because nobody want to work on them. Samsung stick to what your good at phones and tvs everything else.i have not been impressed with.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I identified this freezer for my wish list about a year ago, been tracking them online and when I was ready Samsung had the best deal, direct from them. Delivery was expertly handled, and it's a REALLY nice freezer. Only had it a few weeks, but after I figured out how to unlock the controls to change the temp, I set it at zero and it is so far frost-free and right at zero. It DID come with the hardware to switch the door from right-hand to left, but I have not used that yet nor have I investigated whether it will be feasible. I had read that others had issues with switching the door. In summary, a very well thought-out approach to a freezer that has the versatility to also be a backup refrigerator. Glad I own it!

I'm using it as a second freezer right now and it works great. The temperature is steady around -1 degrees F. It's very conveniently set up with both drawers and shelves. Very easy to organize everything. I love the idea that if needed I can use it as a fridge instead.

beautiful freezer (converts to fridge) that is able to hold tons of food. a necessity for families and especially during lockdown. not sure how anyone can consider a chest freezer when access to food is so simple and organized. if its in stock, buy it.
