Athenos feta cheese is an affordable option for feta cheese. I like that they have a variety of fera cheese to choose from. I like the packaging, the container keeps the feta cheese fresh for days. Athenos brand feta cheese is affordable and easily found in many grocery stores.

I'm disappointed in this product. Over the past several years, the "crumbles" have become practically dust instead, rendering the feta extremely dry. It's convenient for use in moist dishes, but of course the best feta is sold in brine at a Greek shop (or you can put a block in a water/salt mix yourself and change it out once a week or so). I'm afraid I'm going to have to give up on this particular style of feta unless/until it becomes moist crumbles again.

Feta is one of my favorite cheeses. It goes great with Mediterranean flavors and make be used on a variety of ways. It taste different than most cheeses. It’s got a little grainy texture and typically crumbles easily. It doesn’t melt very well on its own but it adds just the right amount of tang and bite to any dish. I put it in salad most often.

This cheese is certainly a good option if you can’t get real feta cheese soaked in brine from Greece but it makes a great topping for salad or for use in a Mediterranean wrap. It also has a long shelf life in the refrigerator so it is great to stock. I also use feta in omelets or on pasta.

This company uses cow’s milk, but feta is supposed to be made with sheep’s milk. I have literally never seen feta made with cow milk before my husband (understandably) bought this thinking it was safe. Consider changing the label to “feta-style” or something, or make it abundantly clear on the label that it’s made with cow dairy.

My go to feta! Being Greek I’m definitely picky about my feta. This is one of my favorite brands. Feta is meant to be salty so for those of you on salt restricted lifestyle due to hypertension or underlying diseases, please be conscious of your sodium intake! Otherwise this is my fave ♥️

I eat feta cheese probably every day either in eggs or in my salads and I really really like this brand I also like the Mediterranean version but I usually go with original because it is more versatile I like the packaging of this because there is a flap that you can open and just pour some of the cheese out which is convenient for me.

Nice and convenient packaging. Tasty feta cheese. Not too high in calories and a little goes a long way. Great for topping salads and fruit. I also enjoy crumbling/sprinkling inside grilled chicken sandwiches. Athenos traditional feta and their flavored feta cheeses are delicious!

We do enjoy the cheese and I like the little container with the perky green lid. Is there a way to remove your label from the container when the cheese is gone? I'd love to keep it for snacks and small amounts of food...but it would be much nicer if it had the labels off. Great opportunity for recycling here!
