Pork casing ruines this!

There are thousands and thousands of people who can not eat pork, even trace amounts. It really saddens me when All beef products are made with pork casings. Something our family and many others cant eat. I wish someone would consider making changes so the people who dont care and those that do can all enjoy the beef.

Best sausage ever. Tastes great

I bought the jalapeño sausage from Kiolbassa a year ago, but it appears unless there is a demand they won't carry it. I even wrote the company to ask to PLEASE bring it back to Sams Club. Its as good as the beef sausage. It's nice to eat a "healthier" version of sausage.

VERY GOOD!

Bought a package of these sausages a while back and stuck them in the freezer- forgot about them. Last week-end thawed them out and just heated in a frying pan. They are excellent! Perfectly seasoned. We just ate them on a bun with mustard. I will definately be buying more (and won't forget about them this time)!

Casing

This is truly a good beef sausage. I enjoyed all the different ones this brand makes. The biggest issue with these sausages across the board is the casing. The thin casing makes eating the sausage difficult to fully enjoy. A work around I have found is to peel the casing off, before cooking. You'll probably get only 80-90% of the casing off; however, it is a BIG game changer and a better experience.

Old Country Flavor, Texture

Like from the old country, no kidding. I grew up eating both smoked and fresh kielbasa. Although the high garlic fresh is my favorite, this smoked version tastes just like the immigrants' recipe we used to get at State Meats in Parma Ohio way back when. The skins can be tough, so I recommend heating them slowly in water, on a low heat. Take my word for it, DO NOT MICROWAVE. Our favorite is to put it on a potato bread hot dog bun with chopped raw onion and ketchup. Delicious. Or an even lazier meal, just slice them and add to a can of baked beans on gentle heat. I am happy to find a BEEF kielbasa since American pork has the growth hormone ractopamine, that I do not want to ingest. These kielbasas have the proper amount of fat. Maybe non-fat people won't like that, but we do. Perfect smoked kielbasa.

Don’t be crazy

Let me just say you would be crazy to not try these. All those other big commercial brands should be concerned, because this will be the only sausage I’ll ever buy again. They are simply dog gone good. If only I could some this good & I would be so happy.

Love this sausage!

Just tried this sausage and it is the best we've had in a long time! I was pleasantly surprised that it is produced in my home town too. Definitely great Texas sausage. Reminds me of the sausage I've had at Wurstfest and NIOSA when I was younger. I hope I can find some of the other sausage flavors to try.

Tubes of pure nasty.

Do not fall for all the good reviews. These are so nasty the casing is tough as shoe leather the flavor is salt (saltier than spam by far). I tried to eat 2 of these and in bothe of them there was bone fragments and cartilage. Ohh and don't forget a heaping helping of diced up veins. As for the spices there were a hand full of poorly broken up pepper corns. Also they have cherry powder in them for reasons. So if you have a cherry allergy you will need to watch out. THESE ARE THE WORST SAUSAGES I HAVE EVER EATEN. Sams needs to drop this company asap.

I wish I loved it

I bought this sausage because it seemed like quality ingredients. Simple, nothing weird. It has a tough casing that I knew I wouldn't like when it was cooked so I peeled it off before cooking. Despite doing that, I still didn't love the texture. The flavor is okay. Unfortunately, it's not the best sausage I've ever had. My kids (sausage connoisseurs) didn't like it either.

Tastes Like Chicago 60 Years Ago

The title says it all really. It reminds me of the old stockyards back in the middle 60’s. The smoky flavor and the crisp crunch when biting into the natural casing is beyond description. You simply have to try it. It may be too “natural” for today’s “vanilla” approach to everything, but if you remember Ernie Banks and Bobby Douglas, this is for you.
