Casing is tough

Pricing has increased from around $11 just 3-4 years ago to now $18 -! That's in the area of a 65-70% increase. Now that's way beyond typical inflation!

These are by far the best store bought sausages on the market!!! They hold their firm texture throughout the cooking process. Never mushy and they aren't too salty like some others I've bought!

Not quite sure how to eat these. We tried grilling and under the broiler. They end up tough and chewy but the casing doesn't want to come off without destroying the sausage. Sausage making seems to be a lost art because these are nothing like the ones we had a few years ago.

I tried these in-store as a free sample, and they really were delicious. So I grabbed a package because they said beef on the package, but when I got home, my son looked closer and they’re in pork casings. Since I’m the only one in my household that eats pork, I’ll have to return these.
