I received product reimbursement in exchange for my honest review of Del Real Foods Pork In Red Sauce Tamales. So let me start with that I have purchased this product before at my local Sam's club before and they are top notch for a commercial company doing Tamales. They are not homemade greatness but they are pretty close and very good. They are not dry and have plenty of pork filling in them. What is also nice is that there are 2 packages of 5 in the bag so you can store and eat the other 5 later. The Masa is whole corn and has a very good consistency and the flavor is again quite good. I do need to add some more sauce to them as that's just the way I like it and it adds a little more heat to them. I am happy that they are not too spicy as my girlfriend would like them if they were and I can always add sum heat to most anything. The only thing I could say that is not good is that I wish they had other flavors and or a variety pack. With 10 Tamales in the entire package it's like a little more than a dollar a piece which in these times is a steal as I don't mind paying 2 or 3 dollars a piece for genuine homemade tamales for a local lady that sells them here. So would I buy these again, you bet and I have, this is my 4th package and will continue to purchase these as long as Sam's Club keeps on selling them. Yum Oh and of course they pair really well with a Dos Equis or 6. Enjoy.

I received product reimbursement in exchange for my honest review. These tamales were easy to find at Sam's Club. The price point was good for 10 tamales. I microwaved one for lunch, following the instructions, and it was easy to do. The masa was edible, slight corn taste. The pork filling was dry and unappealing to look at. It was bland and flavorless. It had no sauce or even the taste of sauce. Unfortunately, I will not be a repeat customer of this product.

I choose to microwave over steaming instructions and it was ready to eat in about 3 minutes. I really enjoyed shredded pork which was cooked in a nice spicy red sauce. The outside masa was pretty soft and not dry as some tamales can be. I added sour cream and fully satisfied. Price point wasn't too bad at just about $1.50 a piece. I would buy this product again.

I'm not sure why they went with red sauce instead of green sauce on this one. It really exposed the blandness. Again, it's a solid ok in taste. Now, for packaging, I'm a little concerned as there were random pieces of pork spread around the bag. That seems a little suspect, because if it was a properly packaged tamale, nothing would come out, right?

I thought it was pretty good - flavor good, but a little dry with the meat and masa. I did however, put some salsa on it to make it moist and that worked. I would probably get it again if I was in the mood for tamales or bring to a party.

These tamales are almost as good as homemade.

The tamales were very dry and the masa was falling apart don't buy these.

These are very good, the wife cooked these and now I’m thinking she is from Mexico .
