Better than most. Not quite like home made. But good

I bought these for my lunch for the week. I usually eat one, maybe 2 if I'm really hungry. These are good, slightly spicy and filling. I gave a 4 because they don't taste as good as I had hoped and they have a lot of masa that I'm used to. These have a lot of meat.

They are ok. Good snack for when you are super hungry and don't feel like cooking. Just heat up and serve. The filling is too mushy to my liking and the masa is bland. I've had many tamales. I also come from Mexican roots and these are the last tamales I'll think about buying again.

The filling is pretty good but these tamales are mostly masa. Waaay too much masa! You barely taste the pretty good filling. But, I'm from Texas and am used to excellent tamales, so, to each his own. I will not purchase these again though.

These don't have the same taste and texture or normal tamales. The filling they use is not that good. I was surprised because their other products are pretty good. I would not buy them again.

Purchase only if you have to. They aren't that yood.

The quality of these tamales has really slid this year. We have purchased them for years, at the "other" warehouse, as well as at Sam's. The ones we got were beat up (probably the curbside person, so we won't hold that against Del Real); but they were also dry, and had next to NO FILLING. In past years these have always had very generous portions of meat in them; no longer. I would rather the price increase a dollar or two than to sacrifice the quality of what used to be a fantastic product.

I returned the tamales to the store. They were 90% dry masa, filled with a tasteless red gravy pork.

The only good thing I can say is that the spicy heat of the filling is decent other than that the filling and masa are terrible, taste and texture wise. The Padrino brand they recently stopped carrying were vastly superior than these. Very disappointed. Will not be buying again.

Nasty tamales. “Tamales inspired food product” is more accurate. There is very little meat, wrapped in fake masa, that is then wrapped in a fake corn husk. These don't even taste good. I'm throwing what's left away. The old tamales Sam's sold, Padrino Pork Tamales, were so much better. They were the real deal. These are just nasty!
