Better than my local restaurant

These are some of the best store bought Tamales I’ve ever had. The ratio of Meat to Masa is good. I didn’t find any fatty bits. I love the little bit of spicy flavor. I just bought 3 more packages. Two for us and one to give my Brother.

Really good tamales that are easy and quick to prepare. I usually cover mine with homemade chili or LaCostena Chipotle sauce for a little kick.

I bought these for my lunch for the week. I usually eat one, maybe 2 if I'm really hungry. These are good, slightly spicy and filling. I gave a 4 because they don't taste as good as I had hoped and they have a lot of masa that I'm used to. These have a lot of meat.

These aren't exactly the same as homemade, but they are good enough for my family to enjoy. We all thought they were pretty delicious.

Yummy and a quick meal

I was looking forward to trying these tamales, however, even though the filling is delicious the masa is very hard and dry.  I had to add water and steam them for considerable time so the tamales to get somewhat tender to eat.  If you're not picky about your tamales then these are for you.  I admit I'm a bit fussy when it comes to great tamales, my Grandma used to make the best! But these are a great bargain and keep great in the freezer.

First time I have bought tamales since 1975 from an authentic Mexican place for $3 a dozen. Not as good as the real ones but not bad.

The quality of these tamales has really slid this year.  We have purchased them for years, at the "other" warehouse, as well as at Sam's.  The ones we got were beat up (probably the curbside person, so we won't hold that against Del Real); but they were also dry, and had next to NO FILLING.  In past years these have always had very generous portions of meat in them; no longer.

I would rather the price increase a dollar or two than to sacrifice the quality of what used to be a fantastic product.
