I am allergic to aloe and many other ingredients. I have been using Johnson's for over 60 years. My mother used Johnson's on me and my siblings, I used it on my children, and grandchildren, and it is the only lotion I could use on myself as it was gentle. I am now looking for another lotion since Aloe makes my skin blister. If you want to offer Aloe please at least still offer the original formula. From the reviews I see I am not the only one that would like to have a choice.

This new changed product is awful. I have used this since I was a teenager. Also used on my child and the grandkids. This new change is not a tweak, but an entirely different product. The lotion is now thin, oily, runny, wet, sticky, raises a rash, does not moisturize or protect the skin like it used to. The new smell is horrible. It smells like old rose water, and is very pronounced, rather than the previous gentle, light, clean baby smell. It now irritates my skin, makes it feel wet, sticky and unclean. Everything sticks to my skin, i.e. the paper napkin that was on my lap is now sticking to my arm, waving around in the air while gesturing in conversation, pulled off and replaced to my lap, then again sticking to my arm-embarrassing and aggravating. People used to comment on how good I smelled and asked me what I used that smelled so fresh and clean. They would exclaim, "That's it-I recognize the smell now-I used that on my babies." I have used 2 bottles to try to get used to it and give this change a chance-but can't use this anymore. Don't buy this, don't use this new formula on yourself or your baby, thinking it is the classic lotion. This is like some cheap, thin, oily, stinky bargain basement baby lotion. I decided to look up recent reviews, and have found so many people are saying and experiencing the same as I am. Please bring back the previous, well-loved, tried and true lotion so many have loved for years and years.

I have been using your baby lotion for 30+ years for myself and used it with both of my babies. About 7 years ago, you reformulated and I was ok with that because it was still very similar to the old formula. However, with the new change, you have made your product smell like the very cheap baby lotions. The smell is overpowering and not appealing at all. The texture is vastly different as well. It feels very greasy. I don't know why you chose to make this drastic change but I truly hope you will change it back. Sincerely, Long time user and previous fan...

This stinks so bad!!! OMG, why did yall change it?!! Give us back the original, I hate this, a lot of us hate this!!! This has been the only lotion I could use on my face and now I can’t do that because it stinks and smells so loud and is not the same formula!!!! Give us back the original please???!!!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Favorite body lotion ever. My skin gets super dry and can be irritated by lotions with perfumes in them. This lotion is perfect for any age, not just babies. It is not greasy, goes on easily, and smells fantastic without overpowering.

Dear Johnson’s….YOUR NEW FORMULA IS COMPLETE TRASH!!! I’m a life long user of your original formula, but you guys GOT IT WRONG big time with this new formula. Probably a way to save a buck on your end, but you’ll lose two bucks on the consumer end. Way to go. Big mistake. Bring back the original formula.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I would not recommend this product the "baby fresh" smell is overwhelming and has a chemical undertone to it. It does have a smooth glide and absorption which is nice for the purpose but I would not feel comfortable putting this on my baby delicate skin. The pump was broken before first use so in order to try it we had to pry the top off.

I just grabbed my new bottle after running out of the old one. I like using it at night, because it soothes my dry skin and I love the scent. So I was unpleasantly surprised to smell this awful cream come out of the bottle. It’s so strongly scented, that it stunk like someone took an 80’s extra strong hair spray and turned it into a baby lotion and runny, too. I can still smell it on my today. NOBODY will want this on their baby! WHO would do this??

I just restocked on this, bought a 2 pack of the 800ml bottles, not realizing that J&J changed the formula. Never thought I’d say this, but I regret buying this… I’ve used the original formula since I was a kid, and have been using it on my own kids up until now. the new scent is horrible… so horrible that I had to wash it off bc the scent was strong & unpleasant, and it lingered… like powder mixed with a cheap bottle of perfume… why would you mess with a classic?
