Johnson’s baby lotion is known for its signature scent, that I’ve been able to recognize since I was a kid. New formula is beyond awful, not as moisturizing, consistency feels more water-based, and the new scent smells terrible. I had to look at the expiration date on the bottle because I thought it was expired. Luckily I was able to find some travel sizes in the store that still had the old formula. PLEASE BRING BACK THE OLD FORMULA AND SCENT!! Unfortunately I will be discontinuing use if formula is not changed back. Not every product needs a rebrand.

I hate the new and improved Johnson's baby lotion. I have been using this lotion daily for over 40 years. The new version feels horrible and oily on my hands. I do not like the feel of it at all. The new smell is bad and not appealing at all. I went around to multiple stores to find and buy all of the ones that hadn't been changed for a stick pike. I'm so sad that once the older no improved ones are gone, I will have to find and change to a new lotion😭

This lotion is nothing like your original lotion. It doesn't moisturize as well and it doesn't even smell good! I can't even find the plain baby lotion that doesn't have aloe and B5 in it. I hate the smell and will switch to another brand that actually smells good.

The new formula does have a slightly different scent than I remember but it still smells baby fresh; just in a softer, updated way. Nothing overpowering at all. What I really love is how moisturizing it is. It keeps baby’s skin soft, smooth, and hydrated, and honestly….it works just as well on my own skin too. During the cold winter months, this lotion is a lifesaver for dryness. It absorbs well, doesn’t feel greasy, and leaves skin feeling protected and nourished without any irritation. A trusted classic that still delivers comfort and moisture for the whole family, it’s worth it to have on hand at all times.

I have used Johnson’s baby soaps and lotions on all of my children because I liked the smell the best. I thought the feel of the products was good and my babies were so soft. I bought the new formula and it is awful. My son’s skin is noticeably drier. And the new scent is horrendous. I am really sad because I can no longer use this product and the smell of my babies is gone.

I have been using this Johnson’s Baby Lotion with Aloe and Vitamin B5 on my ten-month-old son every evening after his bath. You only need to use a very small amount for each application, so the package is going to last for a long time. It absorbs into the skin very quickly, which is helpful when I am trying to dress a baby who does not want to sit still. I actually love the fresh and clean scent it has, and it leaves his skin feeling incredibly soft until the morning. It is a very gentle and effective moisturizer that has become a favorite part of our nightly routine.

Makes me nostalgic. It feels really good on the skin and absorbs pretty fast. I also like to use it on myself from time to time. Also just love the pink look it’s so cute.

I am extremely disappointed with Johnson & Johnson’s new formula baby lotion. I’ve trusted this product for years, and this reformulation completely misses the mark. First, the smell is overwhelmingly potent — far stronger than before and honestly unpleasant. A baby lotion should be gentle and subtle, not loaded with fragrance that lingers and feels irritating. Second, the texture is thinner and watery, almost like it’s been diluted. It no longer feels nourishing or moisturizing. Instead of soaking in and protecting baby’s skin, it feels like it just disappears, leaving skin dry again shortly after. J&J claims they are reducing ingredients by 50% and using more natural ones, but it honestly feels like all that was done was adding more water and MORE fragrance. Less effective, less comforting, and absolutely not what parents expect from a brand built on trust. This new formula feels like a downgrade in every way. Please listen to your customers and change it back. The original formula worked for generations — this one does not. 🙏
