Worked Great For About 3 Years

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The first Samsung flat screen I purchased in 2007 was a workhorse. Not a problem over years of use. In 2018, I decided to upgrade and bought a new 50" Samsung. Worked great until last summer (2021). It started to get dark gray/black banding that moved to different locations across the screen until the banding finally settled on each edge of the screen. So now, I basically have a vertically letterboxed screen. If it's happening on the edges of the screen, I can't see it. How nice. And the thing is, it's not quite to the level of annoying to make me get rid of it, but some day I'll probably release it to the forces of gravity and chuck it from my 23rd floor window. (And if there's an easy fix I don't know about, I'd sure love to know it.) I doubt you'll publish this, but you did ask for a review. So here we are.

First, let's make sure your firmware is up to date. To do so, head to Settings > Support > Software Update. From there, you can easily update if needed. 1. Run a Picture Test on the TV. Navigate to Settings, select Device Care, and then select Self Diagnosis. Select Picture Test, select OK and then view the test. You can choose Yes if the picture looks normal, No if there is a problem with the picture, or Show again to see the image a second time. 2. Determine if lines are appearing during the Picture Test. Look for a lines or screen abnormalities on the screen during the Picture Test. If there are no issues, this means your TV is working fine. To identify and fix the issue, try replacing the cable of the external device that is showing abnormalities. - If the abnormalities still appear after replacing the cable, troubleshoot the external device. - If abnormalities appear during the Picture Test, proceed to the next step. 3. Request service if abnormalities appear during the Picture Test. Please visit our Support Center to request service if you see lines during the Picture Test. High Quality 4K UHD TV

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased my TV with the expectation of upgrading my regular TV viewing experience and that's exactly what I've done. My TV is crystal clear - pun intended - and makes regular HD content, that much better. If you've got 4K content to watch, this TV is for you; it'll even make 1080p and 1440p look better imo. It's got all the apps you could want including Apple TV (if you're wondering) as well as the free Samsung TV service which is ad supported TV and movies but free and already on your TV. The only things I would say are 'bad' are sometimes my TV won't recognize a device that's using an always on mode and I'll have to hard reset the device for it to be recognized; and, if you're into high fps gaming/gaming videos, the TV experiences pretty noticable motion blur. That being said, I am very happy with my purchase.

Great Value with Great Picture

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this TV as an upgrade to our bedroom TV and was amazed how much sharper and clearer it is than the TV I bought last year for the kids gaming room (super cheap and not a samsung). The depth is amazing and though I have seen the latest greatest TV's with the pricetag that will leave your wallet crying, this TV gets the closest clarity and depth on a budget. I own mainly Samsung products, refrigerator, washer, dryer, microwave, phones, etc..., and this purchase proved to be the right one for me. It does what I want, at a reasonable price and exceeds the quality for the price. I get the feeling I am watching my sports live and feel more drawn into gaming, which I had slowed down on because my old TV was small and outdated. Depth, motion, clarity, contrast and sharpness are all outstanding at this price point. My hats off to Samsung on this TV.

Quality Experience

Refresh rate is phenomenal with no loss of picture quality. The Samsung quality is very evident with this TV. Far ahead of the competition as to price.

Great Picture

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The WIFI went out in about 16 months and the warranty is only for 12 months. When the WIFI was working it was great for streaming. I really enjoyed watching movies and sports on the TV. If not for the WIFI going out in less than a year and half I would have given this TV a 5 Star rating. Samsung did agree to pay for the parts after they confirmed that the WIFI was defective. I had to pay for the labor and transport it to and from the service center as it would have been a lot more if they come to your residence. Very disappointed in a TV that needs to be repaired in less than 2 years!

Fine TV, but too few HDMI ports, weak sound

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The picture quality of the television is great. Unfortunately, with the thin design, the sound quality is lacking...to the point of needing a soundbar. Then with that, only having two HDMI ports is a bother. Had I paid more attention to that before I bought the set (my fault!), I probably would have chosen a different brand or model.

First 4k Tv

Great Connectivity and Picture Clarity

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have owned this Samsung 58 inch TV for 6 months. The product was easy to setup. We had two problems at first, 1. There were thin blue horizontal lines on the picture which did not obstruct viewing from across the room, but were clearly visible up close. 2. Our Sound was out of sync. Both problems were resolved by great tech support. The first problem was resolved with a new screen and the second was a minor setting adjustment. So far we are very pleased with the TV. My only advise is to go large regarding screen size. Very appropriate for our family room...but sometimes I wish I had gone with a 65 inch. On the whole, I am very pleased with this purchase. This is our second samsung product. The first one went to another room in the house.

Great Unit
