Overall Pretty good

overall the tv is quite nice. i am really impressed with the clarity and detail of the picture. however, it keeps have issues with connecting to my wifi. i will be watching something and then it ill say that the connection went out. most of the time it comes back on with a second or two. however, i have had to troubleshoot a couple times. i just purchased this tv a week and a half ago so i am not happy about the connecting issues.

We suggest you try the following to troubleshoot and resolve your issue: 1. Use 5Ghz Wi-Fi if possible 2. Try wired LAN if available 3. Try repositioning the router so there are no obstacles between your TV and the router Please also be sure you are running the latest firmware (v.1903.0). You can check to see what software version your TV is using and if there is an available update through the settings on your TV. Go to: Settings > Support > Software Update. You may want to enable automatic updates for conveniences. Go to Settings > Support > Software Update, then select Auto Update. Additionally, to optimize the smart TV performance, please try Device Care option under the Support Menu. Go to Settings > Support> Device Care > Start Device Care. This improves your apps performance as it frees up unused cached memory and closes background apps. I hope these tips help resolve your concerns. TV does not last

I bought this TV a little over 2 years ago and now half of the screen is burnt out. The volume button frequently would stop working and I would have to unplug the TV to get it to work again. The menu would also lag and freeze frequently. I feel like this TV should have lasted longer than 2.5 years based off of the price tag.

Not Samsung Worthy

This is the most unreliable unit I've ever owned. Samsung products have so much bloat ware that it's smart product features seem to become overwhelmed. Less than 6 months after I purchased this unit we began experiencing connectivity issues that often make the unit impossible to use. I have called about the problem however, it was not resolved and seems like it won't be and essentially we have a TV with software that is not viable and therefore useless. I'm certain Samsung is aware of the issue(s), it's not hard to find multiple postings across many platforms that refer to the same issue we are experiencing; to suggest it is a no issue problem possibly caused by a network band is a deflection especially considering the unit worked on the same network without issue until recently but the problem is now so prominent that it fully disrupts our internet service. I cannot in good conscience recommend this product.

Only lasted a 11 months 29 days

I purchased this last year on 10/8/21, back light went out leaving sound, but no screen. No repair service in the area to have repaired under manufacturer warranty. Samsung wont do anything because you can't read the amount that I paid on the receipt, due to being in my wallet for a year even though the date, sku, location and all the other important info is legible.

#Scary moment #TV boom

I bought this TV two years ago. New Year's Eve last year. My daughter was watching cartoons in the living room and suddenly we heard a loud noise. A popped to be more precise, my daughter got scared and ran to me in the kitchen. From that moment, this TV is dead.

Do not recommend

Our TV only lasted 1 year before half the screen blacked out. We contacted Samsung regarding the warranty information and they did verify we still had it under warranty, but because there are no technicians that are Samsung certified in our area, we cannot get it fixed and the communication with Samsung has been a nightmare, as we already submitted our receipt and other information they asked for and not only is our TV not fixed, we have not received a refund. Will not purchase Samsung again.

A Struggle for the average person

the average person who is not a tech genius will struggle with setting this tv up, especially if it is used without cable or ai. the expectation when you turn it on is that it is connected to a cable, satelite or internet. if it is not, then it is impossible to set the tv up.

Garbage

my 2yr old ru8000 screen diode burned out. they replaced it with a au8000 the supposed equivalent. let's just say i want my old tv back. the black screen is so horrible. any dark/night scene is impossible to see whats going on. even in a pitch darkroom. i have another 5yr old samsun that does a better job the tv has a memory leak, it goes for awhile then it freezes then crashes. especially when using the samsung internet app. my old samsung not a problem. sometimes watching netflix, prime, disney, etc. it crashes and have to restart the tv lost volume twice, had to restart the tv. uninstall/reinstall app, mfr reset, and now a new motherboard. same crap. it's pure garbage. rather have my ru8000 with the burnt out diode

Grandiosa

Yo compre esta pantalla en el 2021, y todavia funciona perfectamemte. Ya tengo 3 años de tenerla y no me ha decepcionado en lo absoluto. De echo acabamos de comprar otra pantalla dea.version 2024 porque necesitaba.os otra y espero que sea igual de excelente que la primera y que nos dure muchoa años.

Samsung AU8000 review.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Picture is amazing for a mid range TV. l would recommend this TV to any one whose in the market for one. Since the TV is so thin. The audio isn't that great. I recommend getting a sound bar if you buy this TV.
