I have been a ROKU customer for over 7 years. Our Roku TV still works great-never have had any problems. Additionally we have Roku streaming devices for older TVs - allow us to access other network apps where we can watch shows not available on our regular cable service.

I bought a new 65” Roku TV and loved the phone app’s remote so much I bought the 4K streaming stick for my old (non-Roku) TV. I’m constantly discovering a ton of great free content automatically aggregated by Roku so I don’t have to waste a ton of time searching for it. By far my favorite feature is the ability of the Roku phone app remote to instantly switch the audio between my airpods connected to my phone and the tv, and it automatically mutes the tv when switching to earphones. I use it every night when watching late and everyone else is in bed sleeping. Love this feature. Love both my Roku TV and 4K Streaming Stick added to my old 1080p TV, giving it features it’s never had before. I think even the picture quality is improved thru the stick vs through the individual streaming apps previously run from my phone.

Impossible to work with if your in an area with weak internet. I cant even navigate the menu to change the internet connection to be able to use the device. It automatically connects to recognized internet sources, making it a completely useless piece of ewaste. Volume rocker also doesn't work 90% of the time.

I purchased this product on sale and have been using it with our Samsung 55” curved UHD Smart TV paired with an LG 3.1 soundbar with subwoofer using the HDMI/ ARC connection. Picture and sound quality are quite good. The voice remote works well. The only issue I’ve noticed is the volume cannot be adjusted using the voice remote. A screen message appears indicating the volume is being increased or decreased; however, there is no actual change in volume. Volume can be adjusted using the manual controls. I'm thinking that perhaps there may be an incompatibility between the 4K stick and tv/soundbar combo.

I purchased the Roku streaming stick and remote to replace my one year old Roku Equipment. It worked great for the first month then problems began to appear. Both the volume and mute buttons only work intermittently, so I need to maintain the TV’s remote. I don’t know what is causing this problem but it now takes longer for Roku to connect with my internet. My internet speed is over 200 and I had never experienced this problem before.

This is my third 4K stick and 4th Roku device. I had begun having network connection and remote-control issues with my previous stick model 3810 and decided a newer model might fix the problem. It didn't, frequently I have to go to connection settings to start the connection to the Wi-Fi router. Nothing has changed in regards to my Wi-Fi router or TV in the past 4 years and previous devices worked fine. Then I dived into Roku support first with chat which was a disaster and then via phone with mixed results and still no solution. First line chat support clearly doesn't know what they are talking about and phone support is only moderately better. The last suggested solution is they are sending out a HDMI extension cable claiming it should help improve reception. This, despite the fact that according to the data from the device it has an excellent signal from the router which is 10' or less away from the Roku device. Since I can't get over the air TV or cable leaves me with only a few choices and according to reviews Roku is the best option.

Our Roku tv has become so sluggish, suffers frequent rebooting on its own that we bought this hoping it would cure the issue. While the picture is much better, the other problems (though less severe) still remain. The volume of Netflix is ridiculously low. Netflix is sluggish, the shows are slow to populate, and after exiting there is a good chance the next app will crash when we try to open it. I’ve been a fan and user sine the company started. I don’t understand what the problem is with Roku and Netflix. I don’t have issues with other apps.

I am disappointed in these three Roku devices. Yes, they can shut off my several Element televisions, but they do not control the sound volume. And, I did try the alternate CES option. To make matters worse, on a previously purchased Roku device, I suddenly just found I needed to register and again set up the unit. After completing the process, I found it no longer controlled the sound volume too. It would appear Roku is taking steps backwards instead of improving their product. I will hesitate to buy more Roku devices as they do not live up to their advertising.

This Roku 4K streaming stick offers excellent picture quality. The picture is really clear and bright and there are various settings that let you customize color and tone. The device is small and can be powered by your tv, so you don’t have to worry about plugging this into a power strip. There are lots of apps preloaded and you can add on lots of others also. The remote offers voice control functionality, has volume buttons conveniently placed on the side, and has a couple shortcut buttons to quickly open some popular apps. This is a great little streaming device!

Thought something was wrong with my TV (Amazon Fire TV) because of how slow it was and how often an app would crash. Friend suggested I try Roku. They were correct. Night and day difference. No crashing, no lag fast lag free menus and app open and closing. Definit improvement.
