I bought this because of the new Dolby vision and the display quality is spectacular. I had the Roku streaming stick+ for almost a year and when I read about the new features in the steaming stick 4K I was intrigued and decided to buy one and I'm glad I did it was definitely worth the money.

We really enjoy all the apps on Roku but we find the remote to have some issues. It is not uncommon to lay the remote down after turning on the tv and Roku, and have it shut down the TV and stick. Also we notice that the battery life of the remote is less than other remotes in our house. Other than that, we use it all the time and are generally satisfied.

This is my fourth Roku stick (I also have a TCL TV with Roku integrated) and I can't say enough about how much I love them. We have a lot of older TVs that still work great and are flat screens but do not have smart capabilities - the Roku sticks are changing ALLLLLL THAT. We even added one into our movie room with the SONY projector and it makes movie time so easy! If we could only get my non-technological father on the Roku program, we'd entirely kill cable. Every time I get another stick, I save money on my cable bill by sending back a box. It's a big hit with the whole family - even my older mother (who this last stick was for) loves her Roku stick!

Excellent product. Easy to use. I like the fact it is larger than the Amazon Firestick and doesn't have the mouse in the middle. It doesn't take 2 hands to hold it and it is solid and fits in your hand well. I also like the way the volume and mute buttons are positioned so you can slide your right hand to adjust it. I also own a Firestick but don't use it for a bunch of reason put a main reason it is too small to handle. Sounds crazy it takes 2 hand to manipulate a smaller unit but this Roku is perfect. The Voice command is a plus and also the fact that the signal is not line of sight but some type of radio signal so you don't have to point the Roku at the screen or Roku receiver.

Only the major TV services like CNN, NBC are available when traveling in the US. In Mexico almost no US TV services are can be streamed. The Roku Stick will NOT connect to a cell hotspot when VPN is used on the cell phone so a dedicated VPN router is required to use the Stick when traveling internationally.

ROKU offers a large variety of tv shows and movies! I've even been able to deactivate two of my cable modems! I'm thinking of purchasing a 3rd ROKU! At least give it a try! That's what I did, and depending on your streaming needs, you won't be disappointed!

Takes 10 to 15 mins to initially install. But, if you disconnect it for any reason, its over. Spent the past hour and a half trying to hook it up again, and, nothing. The remote only allows me to power it on and control volume. Can't select anything necessary for the wifi connection. Uninstalled it from my phone app remote. Still useless. All the remote help on the website doesn't work. Only device being recognized is the other Roku in a different room. This has been a time suck. Could've done other things tonight. What a waste. Just got this stick less than 1 year ago.

I was a little hesitant to buy a Roku because I've had a competitor in the past. We made the switch about two months ago and have seen a noticeable difference. The device also comes with kid friendly shows for our toddler to watch. Great product, would recommend.

The tv streaming can take several minutes to turn on. The remote control is poorly designed. The “no volume” control is on the right and upper side of the remote. Normal handling by a right handed person inadvertently turns off the sound. Most people are right handed. There is no return feature to return to the previous channel. This causes using the back arrow to restart the Roko feature to take you back to tv. This takes a few minutes. I will recommend this product only because it beats cable pricing.
