I was amazed at how many channels I could view for free. The video quality is awesome. I downloaded all of my local channel apps and don’t have to worry about dish network canceling networks. I have 4 tv’s in my house and two Roku sticks are in the guest rooms. I like the ability to limit guest access to add and pay channels. The remotes are simple and the app is very useful.

Absolutely horrible. I just thought I would upgrade my previous roku stick that I have had for 5 years, with no problems other than a dead remote. It has worked great. The new one, a roku 4K streaming stick continuously disconnects, which means I have to go and disconnect the power, then reconnect the power, do it will work again. I tried all the suggestions I could find, which was to ho into system/power and uncheck the box that disconnects after 3 m0 minutes of no activity, but that did nothing. If this cannot be reasonably resolved by the end of the week, I am returning the device for a full refund, and my previously great experience with roku wii I ll be finished forever. Roku is selling an extremely defective product and needs to take ownership and replace the defective product with an operational device. The troku 4K streaming stick is s defective piece of crap.

I used Roku streaming devices for years. They were stable and intuitive. I decided to try a competitor's device just for grins but didn't like it even though the many of the features were much better than Roku's. But, because my old Roku devices were, well, old, I bought a new streaming stick. The thing is so wacky—constant restarts, constant freezes. Now, after 2 months, the remote is shot. It's out of warranty so I'm out of luck and it's too bad—I was really excited to return to a company that was less invasive and pushy than that giant company that I can't mention in this review:/

Both first unit and replacement unit have occasional video freeze, while audio continues to play in multiple apps. only a few feet away from network router extender. so it's not that (as suggested in other posts about freezing). Wanted to move it to a small tv in another room where we have a non 4k streaming stick that has Voice remote support for the TV brand (Tyler), But the 4k stick does not list this brand in its list of supported tv's. Non 4k stick works fine on both TV's, so problem is only with 4k version, Very disappointed, Will likely get an Amazon firestick if they don't fix this soon (hopeful there's a software path forthcoming). VERY long thread on the forum about this issue, so I am not alone having this problem.

Many, many years ago I had a Roku. It was OK. When my son bought me a Firestick and a new TV a few years ago I was in awe. The firestick awe faded over time, but I didn't know I had an option with the new style TV. Enter the new Roku. Wow! Simple design, easy to use, so many options, easier on the eyes, so much to love! I only wish I could program the buttons on the remote to go to the apps I choose, rather than preset ones. Also, the screensavers aren't consistent (and weird when they have ads in the corner), but that's a small thing, relatively speaking. I've been able to watch a movies from beginning to end without having buffering problems. Move over, Firestick, Roku is in the house!

This is my 2nd roku streaming stick and I am very disappointed. Every time I try to use it, it is frozen and i have to unplug it and plug it back in. Then hopefully i get one evening of streaming out of it before we have to repeat the process. I even did a factory reset and it did not fix the problem. There is no support on this item and when I googled, I found this is a big issue. I would avoid this Roku product at all costs.

I was initially concerned that I would not be able to operate all the devices in my house using Roku, that was not the case. We love our Roku and the enormous amount of money we save every month. We use WiFi through our cell provider, to operate ROKU, which also saves use money. Easy to set up and we haven’t needed technicians.

We purchased the Roku 4K Stick in December 2023. The product seemed to work at first and then we had problems with it being recognized by the new Samsung Frame TV. I would sometimes have to power cycle the stick. After two months, the Roku Remote right arrow key stopped working. I did a chat with Roku and they said they would send me a replacement. A month and half later, I have received the replacement. I contacted them again and they have no record of me asking for a replacement remote. Once I was in chat with Aliya, she was able to assist with a full replacement of the Roku 4K Stick. I have not receive any emails or the product yet, but my fingers are crossed. I just hope it fixes my issue with the power problem I was experiencing. Strange that I would have a problem with the stick and the remote. We have two other Roku devices that have been working for years, but just needed a third one. Roku and those devices would be rated a 5.

Only the major TV services like CNN, NBC are available when traveling in the US. In Mexico almost no US TV services are can be streamed. The Roku Stick will NOT connect to a cell hotspot when VPN is used on the cell phone so a dedicated VPN router is required to use the Stick when traveling internationally.

I have used my Roku for about , 8 yrs. . After about 4 yrs. , I had put a small fan on it , an extension line on the stick . To get it away from the back of the TV . Heat seemed to be the problem. I also added a timer. So your are thinking why 5 stars . I think it's the greatest cord cutter11111
