Soon after I replaced my old 4K Roku with this, my old remotes have been regularly failing. The new remote stopped working altogether. I've done all the resetting and re-pairing Roku forums recommend, with no luck. Temporarily removing a battery works for the old ones, but only for a while. It may be related to the remote updates, but I think not.

I like that I can load my Roku with my favorite streaming apps and take it with me when I travel. That way, I can keep up with the series, spring events (tennis, NASCAR, etc.) that I like to keep up with. The streaming stock is compact and easy to pack when I travel. Been a Roku user for over 10 years.

Pretty dissatisfied in my Roku. Remote occasionally does not work, either the volume controls will not work when pressed or will be unable to navigate the UI due to certain buttons not working. Have also had instances of the Roku crashing and rebooting in the middle of use. Have also experienced shows going completely black on the screen but audio will continue to play where the only way to resolve is to go back home and re-navigate to the show.

I have had Roku TVs and devices for more than 11 years. During that time I have been extremely happy with the devices. Until... In 2022 I bought three new 4K streaming Sticks. The devices themselves work but the remotes are awful! At least Once a week I have to reset the remotes. When they "die" they can only turn the TV on and operate the volume. I have to restart the streaming stick and go through the process of either pressing the button under in the battery compartment and waiting five seconds. Or, resetting the device completely and Going to the webpage to choose apps again, yadda yadda. After the 10 minutes it takes for this process, it rearranges the order in which you have your apps which is a pain! It probably takes another 10 minutes every time I have to reset the remote. Ugh! While I love the device, seriously, do something about the remote Roku!

We've had a Roku stick for many years, but we had some audio problems with it for the last few moths. Without warning, the sound would get insanely loud or suddenly go soft. It did this with most apps. Replaced the stick and everything is fine now. The main competition for Roku is Amazon's Firestick, which I will not use because I won't willingly support Jeff Bezos.

I was amazed at how many channels I could view for free. The video quality is awesome. I downloaded all of my local channel apps and don’t have to worry about dish network canceling networks. I have 4 tv’s in my house and two Roku sticks are in the guest rooms. I like the ability to limit guest access to add and pay channels. The remotes are simple and the app is very useful.

I bought two of the Roku sticks and both of them broke. The part that plugs into the stick is geared to break, because of how it is set up. It’s upside down compare to how you plug the other end in. It puts too much tension on it and it strips it out and breaks. When you try to buy a replacement piece they are out of stock every where probably because too many have broken. Worst money I have spent.

Roku is my go to due to efficiency as well as the simplicity design. Roku is literally all you need for a TV. This allows you access to every channel or streaming service you may need. Roku also includes basic cable. I’ve had a Roku for several years and haven’t had any issues.

It transfers the dolby atmos soundtrack to my home theater receiver on all streaming services flawlessly unlike some other streaming devices. I love the 10 second forward and back feature using the arrow keys. I love that it can pick up my streaming service logins that were entered with my earlier roku purchase. Only minus....i wish they had a 4k dolby vision and dolby atmos product that would also work with an infrared remote so i could use a universal remote rather than the roku remote. IR and RF options in the same streaming device would be nice so i have a choice of remote.

Roku is great except for one flaw no shut down/off button. I was unaware that data usage continues even though you shut off TV. You need to unplug from the wall to ensure Roku is totally off and no data usage. I have limited data and exceeded limit. Live and learn. Bummer
