Great Price. Many small aggravating issues.

Great price kept this from being a one star; $182 @ Sam's. Initially it made a clicking sound each rotation, but later disappeared. Never knew what it was. Self-propel too slow and 90% useless. Also, it's engagement handle placement is very inconvenient. Mulch plug fills with clippings and you wouldn't know it was even there when lifting the back cover; just a wall of grass. Bag & cover are not well fitting; grass flying every direction, but bag appears to hold a reasonable amount. Loud exhaust for its size. Finally, the cut is inconsistent, missing anywhere the wheels go, making it so you have to overlap your paths by a large amount. Great price only goes so far. We'll see how the lasting quality goes.

Very impressed

Though I've only used this mower once so far, I was very impressed. It is well built and has a very heavy duty frame. It was very easy to assemble, just as the description said. The first pull on the handle, and the mower was running. An easy pull as well, I might add. Very responsive controls. I am pleased with my purchase, and would recommend.

Has a lot of horsepower. Can buck up on a hill. The off/on and drive lever/bars should be reversed. Not easy to control both if you have smaller hands. Do like that there’s automatic choke. Be aware upright storage requires that there’s little or no gas in tank. Otherwise it will leak.

Terrible Mower

Warranty parts are 3 months backordered. Do not buy this mower. The technician I took it to for warranty work said the self-propelled system is junk. The motor is good, but the transmission is horrible. I really wish Sam's would vet these products and suppliers before selling them.

Self propel stopped working & no warranty support

Self propel mechanism stopped working within the warranty period. I raised a ticket with YardForce customer support and they asked me to contact ACE hardware who apparently will not service YardForce. I contacted the customer support again and no reponse from them even after few follow-ups. They just closed my ticket.

the new lawn

i purchased yard force lawn mower recently 1/ delivery was delayed 3 times although the item was available at the nearby Sams 2/gathering the parts was easy but instructions should have been better 3/starting the lawn mower was easy from the first time:excellent 4/side discharge chute easy to snap on but it kept falling out :defective design it should have a "rod" attachement like older models not a snap 5/it runs fine but struggles with the mulch cover on :it could use a more powerful engine 6/i have used it twice ,it ran well so far 7/it comes with a manual but but the hotline 800 number is a non functioning number 8/for me i wish it had a front wheel drive for easier handling

(1) Yard Force and Sam's Club cannot have any control over the FedEx delivery process, to mark down the rating because of a delay beyond our control has no affect on the product itself. (2) Stating the instructions "could have been better" is not clear, these are written by our technical documents staff and are very specific to the simple assembly process that does not require any tools (3) Great! The EXi625 is an excellent engine (4) The side discharge chute is designed to attach and remove easily without tools. To use a "rod" as you suggest would be a permanent installation and not convenient for those that alternate between mulching/bagging and side discharge (5) The EXi625 engine is certified to operate this self-propelled model with reserve power (6) Great! We're glad it ran well, but this seems a contradiction to your point #5 (7) The Yard Force Toll Free Hotline printed in the manual is 866-902-8690 and staffed M-F. If you dialed this number with "800" it is the incorrect number (8) This model is clearly stated as Rear Wheeled Drive - if you prefer a front wheel drive model we do not understand why you purchased a rear wheel drive model.

Self propelled mower difficult feature

There are two levers you have to hold down constantly (Pne to start it and keep the motor running --- the other to engage the self propel. You have to disengage the self propel lever to turn the mower 180 degrees to mow the next pass. Not great for older or younger mowers.

delivery was fast. Only used twice, but it started both times on first pull and like the cutting height adjustment. Had a front wheel drive before and this is rear wheel drive. Just have to get used to it, but it handles hills great. So far so good.
