I ordered this mower online, for home delivery. It was supposed to be delivered in 3 days, but it took over a week. After putting it together, I mowed for about 5 minutes and I shut it down for a couple of minutes to talk to a neighbor, when I tried to re start it, it wouldn't start, after cooling completely down it started again and I finished mowing, I shut the mower off and tried re start it and it wouldn't start, I had to wait for it to cool completely down again before it would start. Needless to say I returned it, Sam's took it back and said that there have been alot of them returned.

The choke bar & drive bars a backwards from the way they should. The drive bar is so far away from the handle you can barely get your thumb on it to push it forward. Combine that with a drive that when it engages pops a wheelie ripping your thumb off the drive bar. Despite what the manufacturer claims they are using as a standard for the speed it is way faster then the Average person would walk causing you to try & Pump the drive to keep up. They should have field tested it wit average humans instead of using some government or institutional “standard”. All of my other numerous self propelled mowers you squeezed the choke/kill bar forward to the handle & “pulled the drive back(2-3”) to the handle(not 4-5”). The jerky wheel spinning drive could easily cause loss of control. Hopefully in a couple of months the belts will stretch & have less grab or I may try replacing them with looser belts. I definitely see why Sam’s Club or mfg were knocking $100 OFF the price…to get rid of them.

Very jerky and clumsy to operate. When I would try to rotate on the back wheels for a change in direction it would rear up and accelerate. Very little propulsion going up moderate hills. Holding 3 bars in hand at once is not practical for me. My back hurt the day after I used for an hour, returned it.

I bought myself one last summer, and it cut my mowing time in half. I bought a second one this year for my son. It is easy to assemble, the power of the self propelled feature, the adjustable wheel height and 12 inch wheels make hills easy to mow. I saw many reviews about the speed of the self propelled being to fast, it does not really adjust, however, adjusting the height of the wheel and depending on the length of the grass, the mower speed did vary a bit. The propelling feature operates separately from the engine it is easy to disengage the power to the drive quickly. Bonus for ordering online from Sam's, with my premium membership, free delivery to a small town not to close to a club.

When I received my mower, I noticed that the top of the box was taped along one edge making me think the mower had probably been previously returned and now reshipped to me. Order was shipped incomplete. Was missing lower bar handle so could not assemble mower. Called yard force and told them the problem. They said I would receive an email in one to two days. Four days passed and no email. I called customer service and told them. The representative was very rude and said it had only been one day since I had received the mower and I needed to be more patient. I said it had been four days and I had been patient. I never heard back from them. I received the needed part a little over a week later. After putting the mower together I discovered it had some major design flaws. I could not adjust the height of the deck because it was scrubbing against one of the front wheels and it could not roll. Further inspection of that wheel revealed the rod to the wheel was bent out of shape. Also the design of the handle bar was flawed. I could not tighten the upper and lower bars together enough to keep the assembly from slipping making it impossible to safely use it. At this point I returned the mower to Sams Club without any problem in getting my purchase price refunded.

I have owned several lawnmowers over the years, and they are always difficult to start, especially at the beginning of the season after sitting a long time. This one arrived, I put the handle on, added oil and gas, and with one pull, it cranked! It cranks on the first pull every time. I love it!.

Bought on sale and thought it was a great deal. The mower is well built and comes with accessories like a mulch plug and bag that actually work. The one lever wheel adjustment is awesome compared to other mowers where you have to adjust both front and back wheels. The mower has an awesome storage feature that allows you to store the unit upright. The 150cc engine has a lot of power. Unfortunately, after two uses the unit would refuse to start again. The unit does have a warranty, but the shops were booked up and i’d be without a mower for several weeks. I bought a mower to cut grass; not to watch the grass grow. I exchanged it for another one at Sams and unfortunately the 2nd one is exhibiting the same problems. For the record, fresh gas is being used, and the same gas works in the 15 year old mower that this thing was bought to replace. Overall very pleased with mower but not pleased with the “upgraded” 625 exi engine.

Not the easiest mower to use. First, You need XL hands to be able to hold on to the bar that keeps the engine going AND then grab way down to grab the bar that starts the wheels. This is the most cumbersome way of operating a mower I have ever owned. The cord clip is a piece of rubber that bends onto the handle of the mower. The first time I mowed I had to restart the engine because of course my hand slipped off of the engine bar as I was trying to reach the bar for the wheels to start and when I pulled the cord to start the engine the cord clip flew off the bar and went into the woods I was near. It really needs to be bolted into the bar. Then there is the speed the wheels turn. I was very surprised to see other reviews saying how fast the wheels turn. I have the opposite opinion. I have never had a mower that has moved soooo slow. It's taking me 50% longer to mow my yard because of how slow my mower moves compared to my previous mower (which I also bought at Sams Club, but a different brand). I see the companies reply saying they set the speed to some industry standard but seriously I am frustrated at how slow I now have to walk. The other issue (convenience AND safety) is when you lift the front wheels off of the ground the drive speed of the back wheels almost doubles. I was shocked this happened during my first use and almost drove the mower right into a yard light because I was not ready for the mower to double it's speed. Not sure what that is all about... On the positive side the mower starts every time on the first pull. It cuts well although when I finished I did see some small row spots of uncut grass throughout the yard so I guess you have to leave more room on the uncut side vs my previous mower.

Overall, I like this mower…..mostly. There are a few negatives though. The major negative is the mowing height. For scalping, the lowest height setting is so low you’ll be plowing dirt and the self propel isn’t powerful enough to pull it through. So expect to get stuck on the lowest setting. There is a large difference between 1 and 2. There needs to be a 1 1/2 or something. I usually mow at a two and it gives just enough height for me. The other settings are way too high unless you want fairly tall grass even after mowing. The other negative is the real wheel drive. It is extremely slow. I’m used to a faster pace when mowing. Only two negatives and now on to the positives and there are quite a few! This mower is lightweight. This kind of counter balances the slow self propel speed. It’s super easy to just push it. I can push it for my whole yard with minimal effort. I have a lot of very thick grass in our backyard so I do bag frequently. This mower bags really well. Doesn’t leave a lot of residual grass. The height adjustment is awesome. One easy to adjust lever for all four wheels. I like that feature. Finally the engine. It is really strong. I haven’t had it bog down at all. It always has started on the first pull and it’s a pretty easy pull at that. This was purchased toward the end of the mowing season so I did get it at a markdown. At $250 it was far cheaper than anything you could get a Home Depot or Lowe’s. Worth it!

Absolutely perfect, especially for the money. A lot of people say that it's too fast when engaging the drive motor, but I think I walk faster than it wants me to. 100% would recommend. A side note... the instructions are not clear about how much oil to add. It comes with a bottle in the box. Put the whole bottle in.
