broken channel arm guide

bought the mower last fall and have used it around 7 or 8 times. no need to cut the grass in the winter. was mowing my lawn today and the whole mower dropped to the lowest setting. I was very surprised to see the channel guide for the mower height arm laying on the ground next to the mower! Glad I didn't run it over that could have been very dangerous. (see the picture) Now the mower height is stuck at the bottom and cannot use the mower! will be returning the mower tomorrow and getting a refund. something like should not happen with less than 10 uses.

Worst mower ever

I bought this mower a year ago and it was in the shop 9 months. I have only used in to mow my 1/3 acre lawn 15 times , four since I got it back from the shop and it has failed again. The drive system has failed for the second time and now the engine won’t start. This mower is a terrible product that no one should buy! And yes, I have contacted the vender multiple times and complained. There customer service was marginally responsive. I have learned my lesson the hard way. If a product looks too good for the price, it is probably junk. Mine is on the curb awaiting the trash truck and I’m out $300 for less than three months actual use. Don’t buy this product!

Would not buy again

Have had problems with recoil on motor and had to repair it myself as the business they wanted me to take it to was unreasonably out of my way. Now the self-propel is slipping and two businesses refuse to do warranty work on anything from this company.

Verified Purchase

Engined stopped working during first use

Literally stopped working after about 30 minutes of use on a mostly flat yard and normal Bermuda grass. I bought the mower about 3 weeks prior and it started up just fine. Everything seemed ok then all of a sudden it sputtered and shut off like it was out of gas. Full tank of gas. Attempted to restart and the cord didnt engage on the engine. It just spun and retracted several times. It finally engaged and turned the engine but this time there was a lot of resistance and kind of a grinding feeling. Took it back to Sams the next day with no issues. Just had to empty the gas can. Would definitely not recommended. I immediately left Sams and went to Lowes and bought a Honda. Much better decision. You get what you pay for!

Buy another brand no customer support.

I got exactly 3 uses out of this mower before it quit. Sams would do nothing as I didn’t purchase the protection plan. Called manufacturer who gave me an automated number for support. Called back and was told to contact local contracted repairer who told me wait time for repair was 8-9 weeks.

Sorry mower

Worst mower I've ever bought. Dive system last one year. Part of the under carriage bent in. Can't find blades. Had to replace the blade adapter and use a different blade. New blade was to long, had to grind down blade about a 1/8 on each end. If the store does not sell blades, don't buy a mower there!!

Do not buy!

I've tried writing a long explanation but keep getting an error message. Just know that as of today, I've owned this mower 163 days and it's been broken or in the shop for warranty repairs for 63 of them. That's 40% down time. If you plan to buy this, buy 2 so you'll one to use while the other is broken. Better yet, you should probably buy 2 spares.

Good mower, with one self-applied fix

I saw this mower on sale for $249, and decided to upgrade my old (15+ year old) mower. First time out of the box, works like a charm. Second time, as others have reported, self-propelled feature struggles. Third time, self-propelled feature fails. Made me frustrated... so I started messing around and figured out that the reason that the self-propelled feature started to fail - was that the engage-cable was too loose. I picked up a few strong zip-ties, and came up with a fix. Works like a charm. (see photo I posted) (Next up, I'll likely get a U-clamp plus plate to permanently put a little more tension on the drive-engage cable. All in all, I'm happy with the purchase. And not having to push my new mower. 4/5 stars (I'd have given 5/5 if I didn't have to "fix" the cable.)

A clear letdown.

I've only had a short time, and it has shut down several times during use, and it's difficult to restart. The powerdrive belt has now come off! I'm guessing I've only had for 2-3 months? It mows nice enough when it actually works. There are too many problems for the age of this mower at almost near new.

Bought it had to return it a month after purchase.and exchange for another one. The replacement s drive cable broke after warranty ran out and couldn't find a replacement. Now the mower body is rusted out and has a hole in it. The Briggs and Stratton motor is great. It starts with one pull. Runs like new. The mower isn't very good. Made in China. I don't recommend
