When you pick up the bread in the store, you think the bread is going to be tough. After you cut into the bread it is soft and tastes delicious. We used it to make French Dip sandwiches and it was perfect. I also used the bread for garlic bread and again this style of bread was perfect. The bread is so fresh out of the package.

Tried this for the first time. Tried two different ways: 1. Cut off a piece and had it with some butter on it and it was soft but a little dry. 2. Warmed it up for about 15 minutes in the oven at 350 and it was so good. All and all it was very good. Recommend it for an easy pairing with a pasta dish etc. and for $4.98 you can’t beat the price.

This bread is so good! It’s slightly crunchier on outside and soft on inside. It’s perfect! You have to wrap it up tightly for it to last about 3 days before getting hard. If it gets to that point make some homemade croutons this makes great croutons! This is a bargain for two!

Excellent taste; i use it for making sandwiches. I would give it 5 stars if it was not for my last pickup experience. I ordered 4 packages intended to make open face sandwiches for my son's graduation party. It was a heavy rain during pickup so i did not notice right away but 3 baguettes were broken at several places. Since i cut them at an agle for my sandwiches, i was not able to make the full batch. So that's why "handle with care".

Just finished yet another purchase of this delicious baguette - always delightfully "crisp" on the outside, yet flavorful and chewy - like Boudin's San Francisco sourdough bread - on the inside! Pairs well with salads, pastas, seafood, soups, wine, and cheese: Never lasts beyond one meal, here...

These baguettes look beautiful. But if you’re trying to make Cristini, they don’t work well. Inside are huge holes. About 1/2 of the loaf becomes unusable. So, by design buy twice as much as you think you may need. With the leftovers you can feed the birds. Expensive bird food...what a bummer.

Purchased this French bread a couple times and we found the texture to be on the tougher side. I was expecting it to be a bit softer as soon as I purchased it. It got even tougher after a couple days. That would explain why they don’t carry French bread any longer. I was told by someone in the bakery section a couple days ago.

I originally purchased to serve with pasta, but the leftover baguette, I sliced into thin slices, mixed melted butter and garlic powder together. I then dipped each slice into the mixture, placed on a parchment paper on a cookie sheet. I sprinkled parsley flakes and Parmesan cheese over all and placed under the broiler till golden brown. Very yummy!

I've often griped about there not being a bakery here in Middle Tennessee that makes just basic French bread, except Publix which makes a fair approximation, at an UNfair price. Well, these baguettes are very much the same, but at 2/3 the cost. Which reminds me, if I buy 260 of them a year, I will save enough to break even on Sam's exorbitant membership cost ! Yay!

My family loves this bread! It is crusty on the outside, but moist and dense on the inside. It goes great with Italian food or really anything European and traditional American style meals. It also works well thinly sliced for appetizers. One great bonus is that it never goes to waste because it freezes really well. My family almost prefers the bread that is toasted after having been frozen and thawed as opposed to when it was prepared fresh from the store.
