I originally purchased to serve with pasta, but the leftover baguette, I sliced into thin slices, mixed melted butter and garlic powder together. I then dipped each slice into the mixture, placed on a parchment paper on a cookie sheet. I sprinkled parsley flakes and Parmesan cheese over all and placed under the broiler till golden brown. Very yummy!

We liked the bread a lot. The taste and texture were outstanding. The taste was better than Central Market, Tom Thumb or Kroger. On the other hand the shelf life is not long and for a small family 2 loaves may be a waste of good food. Sell it by the loaf.

I did like this this bread. I didn't love it, but I liked it. It was chewy and dense and made pretty good sandwich or garlic bread. Not as good as the regular French bread, and costs more. If you buy this, be sure to remove it from the bag it came in and put it in a zip lock bag. The ends got hard and inedible on the third day so that was a waste.

I've often griped about there not being a bakery here in Middle Tennessee that makes just basic French bread, except Publix which makes a fair approximation, at an UNfair price. Well, these baguettes are very much the same, but at 2/3 the cost. Which reminds me, if I buy 260 of them a year, I will save enough to break even on Sam's exorbitant membership cost ! Yay!

Tried this for the first time. Tried two different ways: 1. Cut off a piece and had it with some butter on it and it was soft but a little dry. 2. Warmed it up for about 15 minutes in the oven at 350 and it was so good. All and all it was very good. Recommend it for an easy pairing with a pasta dish etc. and for $4.98 you can’t beat the price.

Member's Mark baguette is a nice addition to any meal with a sauce. The bread is tasty and is great for sopping up gravies, tomato sauce, meat sauce - you name it. The bread is dense and chewy as a baguette should be. The only thing keeping me from giving it 5 stars is that the crust is not crispy as it should be. However if you pop it is the oven for a few minutes you can get a little crisp to the crust. Will definitely buy again. The price is right.

Purchased this French bread a couple times and we found the texture to be on the tougher side. I was expecting it to be a bit softer as soon as I purchased it. It got even tougher after a couple days. That would explain why they don’t carry French bread any longer. I was told by someone in the bakery section a couple days ago.

Normally I'm sorry to say I tend to be snobbish about French baked goods. Though my affinity for things French has diminished for reasons many will recognize, these baguettes are made in North America and are very good. Since I ration my carbs, I cut these into 2 oz portions, bag them and freeze them. They remain quite good, I find, for an entire month that way.

This bread is so good! It’s slightly crunchier on outside and soft on inside. It’s perfect! You have to wrap it up tightly for it to last about 3 days before getting hard. If it gets to that point make some homemade croutons this makes great croutons! This is a bargain for two!
