The only reason I didn't give it a 5 star rating is because the different picture settings are a little finicky and can be unclear as they don't offer a description on screen. But once you find the right one it looks great. The sound is also great and I haven't found the need to purchase a sound bar or anything to supplement the speakers.

Watching movies with this Gem is a phenomenal experience. And yes, I'm including the sound as well. Other renditions struggle to reach the level of these, because of their unwillingness to go beyond a less than modest budget. Samsung, it looks like you will continue to be the leader in this industry for a while to come yet..

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Let me start off by saying that this is overall a great tv. Watching movies on it is fantastic. The picture is amazing, the colors pop and the blacks are deep blacks with very little light bleeding into them which makes movies look amazing. The only issue I have with this tv is that I occasionally notice it trying to adjust the brightness while watching tv in the dark and it continues to dim and brighten randomly. At first I thought it was the light in the house but I started noticing it more when watching movies in the dark. Not sure how to fix it but it gets annoying sometimes and really ruins the experience.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I set out to replace my old Samsung TV of 10 years. My criteria are more about good picture quality and convenience than the latest technologies in high resolution. Upon multiple visits to retail stores and screen comparisons, I noticed that the 4K QLED series provided far clearer wide viewing angles than more economical models, so this was the main feature that gravitated me to the specific series. I then simply selected the screen size I needed and went for a local retail store purchase. My previous TV was from an online retailer, arrived with minor damage, and was too much of a hassle replacing it; hence my purchasing preference this time around. Trying out the device and its settings was quite a task, albeit a pleasant one. Nowadays, TVs come with a wealth of setup and connectivity options. It sort of made things a bit easier that I have a Samung phone, where the Samsung ecosystem appeared to make all cross-device introductions and tasks seamless. I have to point out, though, that users are in for a somewhat lengthy set-up process; possibly unnecessary--it's just a TV, when all is said and done. Furthermore, I cannot speak from the user experience perspective of an owner with no Samsung, or at least Android, devices to assist in the set-up process. Menus are very detailed, and everything worked clockwise when connected to a web network. The only snag I came across was inability to switch across Samsung TV Plus channels (no problem on my phone app). Great device overall.
