The image quality is great. The recognition is great. The only issue is that I keep it plugged in but it doesn’t stay charged. I honestly don’t get it. What is the point of a camera if it’s offline most of the time?? Nest needs to bring back the ones that are wired. Those were better.

Installation doesn’t work, Google Support useless. I purchased a battery Google Nest Cam in Sept 2022. Although I have over 40 smart home devices that connect with my network flawlessly (including a couple of Google devices), the Nest Cam wouldn’t connect during set up. I contacted and worked with Google Support for about 4 months and they couldn’t fix it and just kept putting me off. They also wouldn’t take the defective device back and issue a refund. Finally, I gave up. I wasted $180 of hard-earned money on this device. Buyers beware!

Disapointing.. I'm a google fan and supporter. My phone, ear buds, speakers and smart home devices are all google / nest hardware. These cameras look great! The quality feel is great. The setup was easy. The video quality was great for what I need. So why am I disapointed? Sometimes Google fails on execution, and this is one of those times. As I noted, I was able to quickly setup the camera in my Google home app. But later I tried to streem the video to my TV with google Chromecast... "the device is not setup for streeming" What? yeah can't streem to my TV. Then I notice after a few days I no longer see notifications that my camera spotted someone? Let me check... Yeah, it's off... Batter OK? Yep! Let me look online. Many complaints of the same. poor wifi, maybe wifi was interupted is the main guess. OK, well my wifi signal is great where the camera is. Could there be an interuption? Definitly. Who doesnt occasionaly have an internet interuption? What, the camera doesn't try to recover? Every other device in my house does? OK, simple fix. I'll setup a routine to turn the camera on so if it goes off at least I know it will eventual get turned back on, without me having to do it manualy. Nope, even though it's in my Google home app, Google assistant says it's not setup? Wait, what? So I try to set it up under assistant settings. Nope, says maybe try the Nest App? So I try the Nest App. Nope, says setup with Google Home app! So I can't setup a routine. Frustrating and Disapointing!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using this outdoors to monitor a particular spot on our property, and its been great so far. Integration in the Google Home app went smoothly, though I did need to reset it once to seal the deal. I was originally concerned the battery life would be an issue requiring frequent charges however that has not at all been the case. Battery life has been fantastic, in all weather conditions while streaming and monitoring for activity. I like the ability for the camera to be positioned in a manner of ways and the simple outdoor mounting options. Love it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This new Nest Cam is pretty awesome. The setup was a breeze, just charge the camera, scan the QR code and follow the in app instructions. I mounted mine outside and love the fact that it doesn't need hardwired power. If you need a flexible camera this is the one to get.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am very pleased with this surveillance camera. From my window sill, the camera image allows me a view of my un-fenced back yard. I can see when someone is in the yard or on my patio. I like how the app alerts me to when someone has been seen. I can easily go to the app and click to see the moment someone appeared in my history so I do not need to watch a lot of video before seeing anything. Its really fast to see what happened earlier in the day. I like how the part that holds the camera can be re-positioned at any angle magnetically. But do not set the base on a metal table unless that's where you want it. The magnet is very strong and I could not lift it off. I manged to slide it to the edge of the table and with less contact, I was able to pull it off. It still required a lot of force to get it off the table edge. The app was pretty quick to sign up, though a few of the questions seemed confusing. I did have a little trouble signing up on the app, as the code was small and in light grey on the camera part, but I was able to just get the camera to see the QR code that is included in instructions. Now that it is set up, Its so easy to use.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] the nest cam has been a blessing i can check my front door and make sure my son gets home from school plus if I am home alone I can see who is ringing my door bell now I need one for the back door but this security cam trial has been a pleasure I can acutaly desire if I want to stop what I am doing and go answer my door.

I love being able to see what's going on around me and essentially having an eye on my home at all times. The camera was easy to set up and install. Usability is great...I had no issues connecting it to my phone. I love it. I didn't anticipate feeling more secure, but I definitely do! I feel like I'm really protecting my family!

I won't ever have to worry that the camera will fall off. I installed the app and just followed the instructions. My phone connected with the camera right away. I installed it under an eave of my house because it is weather resistant but not water proof. I have it set on battery savor so I hope the battery lasts a good long time so I don't have to get the ladder out too often. The reception is great and the picture quality is fantastic. This is a nice little camera and works great. I know every time something moves when I'm not home now. I love it!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I must say I really like this camera. The picture is clear as a bell. Even at nighttime the picture is super clear and easy to see. It is also super easy to install so that is a plus as well. The only thing I am not a huge fan of is the face that I have to take it down and recharge it every so often but even that is not a super big issue. All in all it's a very nice camera!
