[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got a Nest Cam that I set up at my front door to record who comes and goes. It is easy to set up. Just down load the app and charge up the camera and you are good to go. You just follow the prompts and it helps you set it up. The plate attaches with just two screws and the camera attaches with strong magnets. I now can see when some one approaches my door and see when packages get delivered. I also like that it gives a more security, some people may think twice before they take a package if a camera is there.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The video quality is great compared to other devices I have tried. It has people vs. pet recognition which seems to work so far. The product itself seems sturdy and feels like it will last in the outdoor elements. It does say it is only weatherproof and not waterproof so I'm not sure yet how this will hold up in the rain. I wish it worked with the existing Nest app. Unfortunately Amazon Alexa only has a skill that works with the Google Nest app. It does not ye work with Google Home app. Hopefully that is a feature they are working on.

I have been a long time user of Nest products, going back to before Google purchased them. Their hardware and iOS app have been flawless. I purchased the Nest battery camera as I was excited for this new launch and to place my camera in places where I had no access to power. Unfortunately the new cameras do not work with the Nest app, they only work with the Google Home app. I wouldn’t have much of an issue with this if the controls of viewing the live feed and history were similar but they are not great in the Google home app. Also if you pay for Nest Aware you won’t get the features you pay for unless the camera is plugged into a power source. To save battery life the event history is only 30 seconds long, most events caught the end of a person walking by and if that person showed their face in the 31st second the camera wouldn’t show that history, the events hard stop at 30 seconds.The Nest app is perfect, I hope Google doesn’t try to discontinue this over time.

So many great features too...like detecting familiar and unfamiliar faces. Wonderful video resolution. Am very happy with this product!

The app on the phone that the camera connects to is easy to navigate and is accessible from anywhere. It is nice to be in the know about what’s going on at home when I’m not at home.

Plug it in, download the google home app, if you have a google account then sign into it and if not it asks you to make an account, scan the QR code that's on the device to find the correct model and continue with the instruction to finish the set ups to fit your needs whether for outdoor use or indoor use. Has a very strong magnet to attach to anything metal BUT it also comes with a wall bracket and screws. Very clear and crisp pictures/video/sound. The camera has a sleek looking design. It's a quality camera that has great customization and live feed communication. Security and peace of mind whether you're home or away. You have eyes on things always! Very pleased with the results and so far no complaints. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for security of your home or office, indoor or outdoor.

I love being able to see what's going on around me and essentially having an eye on my home at all times. The camera was easy to set up and install. Usability is great...I had no issues connecting it to my phone. I love it. I didn't anticipate feeling more secure, but I definitely do! I feel like I'm really protecting my family!

Installation doesn’t work, Google Support useless. I purchased a battery Google Nest Cam in Sept 2022. Although I have over 40 smart home devices that connect with my network flawlessly (including a couple of Google devices), the Nest Cam wouldn’t connect during set up. I contacted and worked with Google Support for about 4 months and they couldn’t fix it and just kept putting me off. They also wouldn’t take the defective device back and issue a refund. Finally, I gave up. I wasted $180 of hard-earned money on this device. Buyers beware!

The setup was SUPER easy and integrated with my existing google products pretty easily. The cam quality is great and the installation took literally one minute. The battery life so far is good which means less charging. I would consider replacing my other brand cams with all nest cams.

I have mine mounted to a metal light on my porch and it is magnetic so needs no screws or anything. I put the app on my I phone and so simple to use. It sends me a notification and records history so I can see whenever anyone comes to house or leaves. It has night vision and facial recognition. I love this camera!
