I was used to Apple products and am working now on a Samsung tablet - so probably operator error. I only have one Google nest cam and didn't have any other devices in Google Home. When you view the camera, it shows battery life- right now mine is on 76% or 3 weeks. It estimates it on usage, weather and camera activity. (got the indoor/outdoor) Currently use indoor. Video can sense motion and record it. Can view histroy and send notification if it senses a person. The microphone will pick up voices and noises and you can speak through the nest camera. I have been playing with the magnetic part of it. I stuck to my refrigerator, a 3 hole punch, and a metal wall art.

We originally wanted to put it outdoors and we eventually will but we have 3 kids (always blaming the other for who did what) so we have it up on a high shelf in the family room. Once fully charge, the Google Nest Cam has an awesome battery life. Now it would probably run through its battery quicker if I had the History turned on but I just get on the Google Home app every now and then and have the camera run. A green light will appear when the camera is live or recording. My kids think it's recording all the time. Ha! The set up was easy and I like it's sleek design. I think it would be easy to mount outside.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Hey folks, I have the google nest doorbell and was really excited about this new outdoor nest cam. For me, it's primary use is watching my back door and my dogs. For that, it is perfect. The image is very clear, it plugs right into all of the google home devices (and now you see it in google home VS in the nest app) and it is very easy to set up, which is its greatest perk. Don't forget to update your google home app if you're unable to find it, that cost me 10 minutes!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My wife and I moved to a new area about a year ago, and have more recently been noticing crime/ vandalism of cars in the neighborhood increasing. In order to protect ourselves and hopefully deter someone from damaging our cars, I got this to install above the garage/ facing the driveway. The camera is small (but noticeable) and does a good job of capturing the video. I like that I can easily playback what has happened if I have any concerns and that we feel more protected. The setup was very easy which is always a plus. We have had the nest thermostat for years and loved it which is why we wanted this specific camera. I would note that I don't think the quality of this camera is the best I've ever used (I have used both Arlo and Ring products), but it still gets the job done.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have the indoor wired camera already on my google app and when I tried to connect this it wouldn't. I contacted customer service and they were great to deal with. They ended up having me uninstall my existing camera and then reinstall both cameras. It worked and installation was a breeze after that. The magnetic base the camera sits in is very strong. You can set up notifications on your phone through the app to be notified anytime your camera detects motion. Overall a great product and I would recommend it to everyone.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I own numerous different cameras from multiple brands and this Nest Cam outperforms them all! Both the hardware and software are exceptional. Nest Aware is amazing. The fact that it can recognize my face and the faces of my family keeps me from constantly checking every person alert to make sure everything is alright. The picture quality is great, the motion alerts are snappy, and the user interface is intuitive. One of my favorite features is that when you get an alert, it shows you a little GIF snippet from the event, so most notifications can be dismissed with a cursory glance. The magnet holding the camera is incredibly strong, but it still allows for easy adjustment of the camera angle. The camera charges quickly as well.

Google products are always well packaged and designed. This Nest Cam is currently being used at a rental property, its great to be able to set up security devices without the need for contracts and have the portability to re-locate. The camera is very minimalistic and is easy to install and set up through Application. It is a great piece of mind having another set of eyes to watch over your property. Highly recommend!

Not better than a $35 Wyze V3 cam. The nest cam is horrible recording events in the dark. How is google thinking a 1080p camera is worth this much?? Dont count on this camera recording evets at night in low light
