[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My initial thought when I opened the box is that the device is quite large. From a technical/design standpoint, the look itself is very sleek and unobtrusive for any decor, a very modern look. The magnet itself is very strong and allows for a wide range of positioning of the camera. Although you can get it to exactly 90 degrees, otherwise the magnet will start to repel. The device comes with various components including wires and mounting plate and some other hardware accessories. The set up of the device was fairly simple, very similar to my google home set up. It is set up in the same app. It even goes into installation tutorials depending on where you are installing and what type of material you are installing into. Overall, very easy to set up I think. There are cool features within the device if you have compatible google devices like presence sensing and various routine settings. There are also various subscriptions for the device if it is needed. Overall it's quality security camera and allows you for great customizations and live communication. I think my only concern with the device is using it outdoors. Although water hesitant the camera is not fully weatherproof. The accessories provided, despite being a pricey unit, is not suited for outdoor use. You would have to buy a longer watherproof cable and anti-theft mountings for safe outdoor use in my opinion.

It’s small enough that it doesn’t look tacky mounted on my porch. The camera allows me to check on my home any time that I am away. It alerts me during activity and night vision makes it more versatile.

Great for peice of mind when we're traveling. We love it because we can alert our neighbors to grab packages off our doorstep when we're away. App is easy to use and setup as well. Highly recommend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The design is sleek and modern, even though it is outdoors, I did not want something that would distract from look of house. The installation of the camera was very easy. Most important, the installation of application and software was a breeze. Overall, it is great product that has truly met my expectations.

This product itself is good. Nice looking and easy installation. However, it also comes with cons that I especially care about. 1. IP rating. All competitor in outdoor cam industry has high IP rating IP 67. This cam has much lower IP rating, which really made me hesitate at the beginning. 2. It's dang 1080p. Every player is doing 2K at minimum but nest is only offering 1080K, which is ridiculously weird. 3. Not matter you buy a 2-pack, 3-pack or 4 pack, they all come with a single charging cable, which again is unbelievably stupid idea. Consumers are required to buy extra accessories at their own so why don't include them in the box?That being said, I am in the Google ecosystem so I figured I can live with these cons above and see if Google's software can bring some excitement, like my pixel phone. I hope Google can hear more voice from customers before making some dumb trade-offs on their products.

I only have 2 complains with the Google battery camera:1. This camera should have been 4K. I realize 4K would have been more of battery drainer, but I would happily recharge the battery a little extra to have 4K.2. I recently had to change my Wi-Fi password. Folks, don't change your password unless you absolutely have to. I had to climb a ladder and pull cameras down to manually hit the reset button on the back of the camera. You would think there would be a simple solution for this but apparently Google didn't consider this.

Not better than a $35 Wyze V3 cam. The nest cam is horrible recording events in the dark. How is google thinking a 1080p camera is worth this much?? Dont count on this camera recording evets at night in low light

Excellent camera, great views. You can take it anywhere. It's wireless and you can talk two ways with the mike. A whole lot of features that make this one of the best cameras i've ever had.

Unlike previous Nest products, this works poorly and fails to capture video for more than a few seconds. Plus the Google Home app is bit of hell on earth to use.

The new Nest interface is horrible when dealing with the old Nest products. If I would have know the limitations I would not have purchased the new Cam and moved on from this product line altogether
