It is super easy to set up the camera and you must download the google home app if you have no other products from them. The unit includes the 3 ft wire to charge, mounting and camera. I connected this outdoor and debating of purchasing the anti theft wire because the camera can be easily removed. In addition may consider purchasing a longer wire so I can connect unit plugged in vs operating on the rechargeable battery. The camera is quite clear and quite impressed with the night time vision. You have the ability to select to not record animals, vehicles motion etc. I don't plan on purchasing the subscription and at least happy it does 3 hours of recording. However, it doesn't include 24 hr free recording. There needs to be updates on the app because it is needs to more intuitive. I was not able to find option to set arm and disarm camera recording if I am home. That was disappointing. In addition you do not have ability to delete certain clips but only portion to delete entire recording history. Maybe something to consider in the near feature. Overall pretty pleased due to camera quality. The audio seems really good with the iPhone.

It is easy to watch when someone is coming over or when a package gets delivered. The picture quality is great and it has stood up just fine to some extremely hot weather. I highly recommend this camera for any home!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Setting up this camera was not as easy as it should have been. I already had Google Home installed on my Android phone but I'd get the camera added then be told by the app I had to use Google Nest to set it up. Then Google Nest would say to use Google Home for set up. A Neverending cycle.... My husband had an iPhone and for some reason it worked on there. Once set up the camera works well. You get 3 hours of free recorded video but can pay for more. The night vision is good and quality at 1080p good as well. You can put the camera by your front door and even talk to people at the door. Mounting the camera base was easy and the camera has a very strong magnet so no worries about it falling off the base.

The fact that it's made by a major company that has been around a while really makes me have peace of mind. Camera works very nicely with very little lag between viewing and reality. So far so good I'll update my review after a few more months.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We installed the Nest Cam a couple of weeks back and absolutely love it so far. Simple, easy install and produces great video. Great for peice of mind when we're traveling. We love it because we can alert our neighbors to grab packages off our doorstep when we're away. App is easy to use and setup as well. Highly recommend!

The only thing I m not happy is view of camera is giving me. Tech recommended current site but view is kind of narrow. Also didn't realize that battery runs down fast unlike my nest doorbell which is hard wired and able to see my porch to see packages arrive. Will get 2nd gen hub for viewing.

The picture quality is amazing as well as night time mode. The notifications work great. The interface on the nest app is very simple to use. This is a must have camera that does a great job!

I've used many other smart cams and while I held out a lot of hope/excitement on this one, it's been a terrible experience.

The installation of the camera was very easy. Most important, the installation of application and software was a breeze. Overall, it is great product that has truly met my expectations.
