[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Nest Cam is my favorite outdoor battery security camera to date. The camera itself looks spectacular and has all the functionality you need and more. The setup process was fast and easy. Once you download the Google Home App set up takes around 5 minutes. The Nest Cam comes with a magnetic base, an attachment to the base for drilling install, and a power chord (unique, do not lose). My favorite part about it is the magnetic base. Not only do I not have to drill any holes on my wall, but I have a large metal section in my back yard that the base instantly attached to. After setup and install, then came the features. This little cam is equipped with facial recognition, people and animal recognition, night vision, motion capture, set up of zones, vehicle motion recording, two way audio, and much more. You can add known family members or friends to your "familiar faces" list and the camera can be set up to notify you or not notify when they are captured on video. The animal recognition is great for people with pets and wanting to know when they are at certain zones of the yard. If you place the camera in a high traffic area, it can also recognize moving vehicles and record when they pass without starting too late. Another useful feature is Presence sensing. You can allow the app to track your phone and automatically turn on the camera when you leave and turn it off when get back to extend it battery life. I placed my camera in the back yard pointing towards the yard as well as a high vehicle traffic area to test the battery. So far, I am getting around three weeks of battery life per charge, of which I know can be extended with different placement. Overall I highly recommend this Nest Cam and will be purchasing additional cams in the near future.

The Nest cam with battery is supposed to be used outside as well as inside as per the product features. Although is does support outside use, we have installed it on our door so that it’s not totally under the weather and can still serve the purpose. The setup was very easy and we just followed the instructions. Since I already have a decent size Google eco-system so I was quite aware of what all needs to be done to do an error-free installation. Coming to the image quality, as expected it gives a very crisp and good quality image. It has almost all the features like event-based recordings, limited local saving of data etc but one thing which I like to cover is that battery charge. It has 3 modes depending on how you want to capture your events, personally we have used the minimum battery saver option which would give us a 3-4 months of battery life which is pretty good (I am yet to drain out my whole battery). Also one can take the Nest Aware subscription to have longer history of event based recordings. Overall, I have liked the product and I can see the benefits what it provides whether you have a package delivery or someone at the door. Would recommend it for sure !!

I love that this camera is integrated with Google. Set-up was a mostly a breeze. The picture and sound quality seem to be good too. I also like the sleekness and simplicity of design. Might be nice to have offered in a handful of colors to make it blend in more but that is not a very big deal to me.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Nest cam is a great device. Easy to install and operate. The unit comes in two parts, base & camera. No need to hardwire because the camera hooks up to the base via heavy duty magnet so you can remove to charge via USB cord (included). Only caveat it is hard to pair with Alexa. Still trying to pair. Otherwise this unit is great to have for peace/piece of mind and security and you can view through your phone, save clips, and view battery strength. The picture/video quality is quite sharp and you can view your history easily. The sound is clear and crisp. I do recommend the Nest Cam!

The picture quality is amazing as well as night time mode. The notifications work great. The interface on the nest app is very simple to use. This is a must have camera that does a great job!

Can plug in or us the battery pack. The battery life is fantastic, I go weeks without having to charge it. Notifications are customizable. It’s great.

The camera itself is very well made and sturdy, and also a very nice size so it covers more area. I have a fairly large backyard, and I am able to monitor almost all of it with this camera. It has also handled a lot of rain just fine.The app is user friendly and works well. The picture quality is fantastic and clear day or night. I really like that it can tell the difference between people and cars so I'm not getting annoying alerts that I don't want. Facial recognition is also a great feature that I never knew I needed, but appreciate so my kids aren't always setting off the alerts. Overall this a top of the line camera that is perfect for indoor or outdoor use, and it is so easy to monitor what is going on at your house.

I use door bell and camera system for the front of my house and wanted the additional security of a rear camera. This is perfect. Set was very simple, the camera is clear, mounting was straight forward. I can't wait to integrate more of these within my home security.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been using this Google nest camera, outdoor, for over a month now and and I can’t stress enough how amazing this camera is. The response time and clarity are impeccable. It’s perfect security for my home. I wish I would’ve known about it sooner. The battery life has been great. I haven’t had to charge it yet so that’s a plus. It was also easy to install. I usually have my husband do these type of things installations but I was able to do it on my own. Another awesome feature is the magnetic mount it has to hold the camera in place. The magnetic works so well that it was able to withstand when we had winds of over 50 miles an hour. It’s also done great with all types of weather including freezing rain. I love that I can check my camera anywhere anytime from my phone and able to enjoy my vacation knowing that my house is protected.
