The camera itself was easy to set up, but I had to jump through some hoops to set up the camera app (had to download the nest app, then the google home app). At first, I was also annoyed because the charging cable is located in the front, which is fine if it was mounted, but if it’s on a stand, it can’t be plugged in. However, I was extremely happy to see that it lasts a week without having to be charged, so I was less annoyed. It films when it notices motion, or you can drop in live. I will say that it seems to have a hard time picking up my cats’ activities and seems to pick up human motions better. It has a really nice periphery and a great picture. Overall, I really like this product. I would definitely buy another one again.

I put it on my front porch so I can watch for packages being delivered while I’m away from home. It works perfectly for this. I feel a lot safer with this camera for many reasons. I live in a safe area but there’s always a chance of someone taking advantage. This camera lets me rest easy knowing I can always keep any eye on my home anytime of the day or night.

Works wonderfully and you can see very clearly.Get phone alerts and it has HD with Night Vision.We can check in on our home to see what are dogs or children are doing. It provides security even if it rains. The Nest Cam can be put inside your home or outside your home, whichever you prefer. To set it up- plug into outlet, get the google home app, tap + to add your camera. What it all comes with is Nest Cam, magnetic plate, wall plate, screws and anchors, a charge cable and power adapter. If you need assistance with installation , or need an accessory, there is a toll free number you can call and they will walk you through it. We love it and will recommend this product to all of our friends and family.

I have yet to decide where I would actually like to place this Google Nest Cam, which means I need to buy more. Currently I am only using the magnetic mount and moving it to multiple places and I honestly need more of them in my life! Just download app, go though install steps and bam you have a camera with live viewing, two way microphone and video recording. The magnet is super strong and keep in mind all exterior doors have metal so it's a breeze to snap on a door. I promise you will end up like me and want 10 more.

Upon opening, all I had to do to set up the camera was scan a QR code and link it to my Google account. This was fairly easy but I was a bit disappointed that this didn’t work on my regular nest account that I already have for my thermostat. It is a simple merge process, but unfortunate. The mount on this camera is magnetic (and very strong) which is pretty cool. It makes it easy to position and take down for charging. The wide view on the camera is perfect to capture both the walkway to my home and the door. The picture is very clear, especially compared to the other brand of camera I own. My biggest issue with the camera is the storage memory. It only stores motion video for a few hours, unless I pay for a subscription. This seems pointless because I don’t check it constantly and if something suspicious happened I wouldn’t know until after I got home, and by then the footage would be gone. For this reason, I really prefer to just treat it as a live monitor when I am home. Battery seems to last awhile in an area that gets frequent traffic.

With the Nest Cam, we found a battery operated product that made installation stress-free, maintenance easy, and function friendly. We downloaded the Home app to be able to keep continuous surveillance when we were at work or traveling. It is worth peace of mind for seniors like us to have excellent technology at our disposal!

This product itself is good. Nice looking and easy installation. However, it also comes with cons that I especially care about. 1. IP rating. All competitor in outdoor cam industry has high IP rating IP 67. This cam has much lower IP rating, which really made me hesitate at the beginning. 2. It's dang 1080p. Every player is doing 2K at minimum but nest is only offering 1080K, which is ridiculously weird. 3. Not matter you buy a 2-pack, 3-pack or 4 pack, they all come with a single charging cable, which again is unbelievably stupid idea. Consumers are required to buy extra accessories at their own so why don't include them in the box?That being said, I am in the Google ecosystem so I figured I can live with these cons above and see if Google's software can bring some excitement, like my pixel phone. I hope Google can hear more voice from customers before making some dumb trade-offs on their products.
