The mount makes it very easy to aim the camera once you have it up. It's easy to install and set up. The app is nice and notifications are instant and it has had so far a 100% person detection rate. The camera resolution is amazing for picking up finer details such as license plates, faces, and other details. There's no going wrong with this camera. It's pretty amazing!

Great for peice of mind when we're traveling. We love it because we can alert our neighbors to grab packages off our doorstep when we're away. App is easy to use and setup as well. Highly recommend!

I already had Google Home installed on my Android phone but I'd get the camera added then be told by the app I had to use Google Nest to set it up. Then Google Nest would say to use Google Home for set up. A Neverending cycle.... My husband had an iPhone and for some reason it worked on there. Once set up the camera works well. You get 3 hours of free recorded video but can pay for more. The night vision is good and quality at 1080p good as well. You can put the camera by your front door and even talk to people at the door. Mounting the camera base was easy and the camera has a very strong magnet so no worries about it falling off the base.

The setup was very easy; you download the Google Home app and add the camera to your list of devices. I wanted to attach the camera to a metal fence I have surrounding my home to see what animal was coming into my backyard and tearing up my garden. Low and behold, the night after installing the camera, I found a feral cat is the culprit. There is even some smart built-in AI that changes the notifications you receive on your phone depending on what the camera observes. For example, when I woke up in the morning, I saw "Animal detected" as a notification on my phone. And when I went to go take a look at my garden, it says "person detected". So far it's been outside for a week in the Texas sun and the battery is still showing 99% remaining. Overall, I am very impressed and would highly recommend.

With two quick screws you can attach the mounting hardware where ever you need the camera. The strong sturdy magnet then grabs the camera and allows you to easily tilt and move your camera where ever you would like it to be. It connects easily to your Google Home devices and gives an amazing clear picture making it a great way to keep track of your home while you are away. I love that when you need to charge you simply pull down the camera plug it in and then pop it back on the magnet. Absolutely an ingenious product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a very welcome addition to the Google camera range. The Nest cam with battery is supposed to be used outside as well as inside as per the product features. Although is does support outside use, we have installed it on our door so that it's not totally under the weather and can still serve the purpose. The setup was very easy and we just followed the instructions. Since I already have a decent size Google eco-system so I was quite aware of what all needs to be done to do an error-free installation. Coming to the image quality, as expected it gives a very crisp and good quality image. It has almost all the features like event-based recordings, limited local saving of data etc but one thing which I like to cover is that battery charge. It has 3 modes depending on how you want to capture your events, personally we have used the minimum battery saver option which would give us a 3-4 months of battery life which is pretty good (I am yet to drain out my whole battery). Also one can take the Nest Aware subscription to have longer history of event based recordings. Overall, I have liked the product and I can see the benefits what it provides whether you have a package delivery or someone at the door. Would recommend it for sure !!

I contacted customer service and they were great to deal with. They ended up having me uninstall my existing camera and then reinstall both cameras. It worked and installation was a breeze after that. The magnetic base the camera sits in is very strong. You can set up notifications on your phone through the app to be notified anytime your camera detects motion. Overall a great product and I would recommend it to everyone.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Google Nest Cam (outdoor or indoor, battery) is a nifty camera that you can either use indoors or out. It connects with wifi to your home network. It also allows you to set parameters so that it records events within the set parameters so to not record more than needed. In saying that it helps with the battery life by doing so. While I have not had mine that long, the manufacturer boasts that the camera (with minimal recordings a day) can last up to 7 months on a single charge. It has night vision that sees clearly as well and it picks up audio in it's recordings too. It mounts easily and works well with an app provided by Google. We definitely love this camera and will be purchasing more in the future!
