[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I own numerous different cameras from multiple brands and this Nest Cam outperforms them all! Both the hardware and software are exceptional. Nest Aware is amazing. The fact that it can recognize my face and the faces of my family keeps me from constantly checking every person alert to make sure everything is alright. The picture quality is great, the motion alerts are snappy, and the user interface is intuitive. One of my favorite features is that when you get an alert, it shows you a little GIF snippet from the event, so most notifications can be dismissed with a cursory glance. The magnet holding the camera is incredibly strong, but it still allows for easy adjustment of the camera angle. The camera charges quickly as well.

I set mine up by my front door. As someone who receives a lot of packages, it’s nice to know I can just check my phone and see that my items are safe and sound on my porch. I get an alert on my phone whenever the camera is triggered. The camera quality is amazing and I love that it has night vision. I feel safer having my Nest camera and I plan to add more around my home. Gifted.

It is easy to watch when someone is coming over or when a package gets delivered. The picture quality is great and it has stood up just fine to some extremely hot weather. I highly recommend this camera for any home!

This camera was perfect for me, it does the job and I can easily move it when needed. The angle is completely adjustable with a very strong magnet base. So cool! And I love the clean white design. The app is easy to use and I had this up and running in like five minutes

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Nest Cam Battery is an indoor and outdoor camera that can be used completely without any wires. One could use the Nest Cam with the provided power cable if desired. Everything needed to install including screws and screw anchors needed to mount the camera are included. Before any of the physical installation is performed, you will need to download the Google Home app onto your phone and scan the QR code that comes with the NestCam to set it up with your existing wifi connection and your smartphone. It is a good idea to physically place the Nest Cam in the location you will install it and confirm that you have a good wifi signal and that video quality is going to be good. Once setup and configured on the phone, the Nest Cam can be configured to alert when it sees something as well as record the event automatically. The alert and the recording can be viewed on the smartphone using the Google Home app. The quality of the picture is fine during the day time but note that the picture is black and white when capturing video during night time or when it is dark. The camera can be configured for quality, as well as night mode changes. The camera includes a microphone that records sound and lets you hear what is going in addition to seeing the video. There is also a speaker that lets you speak and you could potentially have a conversation with whoever you are seeing in the video. Included with the camera is a mounting base that has a strong magnet which helps with installation across multiple surfaces. The camera itself can be placed on the mounting base at any angle as the two elements connect via a magnetic attraction. So, the camera can be placed anywhere you want at any angle you need. Very well done, Google. One problem I ran into is the limited amount of video storage. The camera records and stores video for the latest three hours. You will need to purchase a Nest Aware subscription if you need to access video for extended duration. This is severely limiting especially if you do not get to alerts immediately e.g. if you are at work and in a meeting or with a customer for a couple of hours and then you get to alerts couple of hours later, you will not be able to review the full video as the system automatically deletes video after three hours if you do not have the Nest Aware subscription. I see this as a major issue and Google should change to three hours to something more reasonable or atleast provide an alternate recording option

Works wonderfully and you can see very clearly.Get phone alerts and it has HD with Night Vision.We can check in on our home to see what are dogs or children are doing. It provides security even if it rains. The Nest Cam can be put inside your home or outside your home, whichever you prefer. To set it up- plug into outlet, get the google home app, tap + to add your camera. What it all comes with is Nest Cam, magnetic plate, wall plate, screws and anchors, a charge cable and power adapter. If you need assistance with installation , or need an accessory, there is a toll free number you can call and they will walk you through it. We love it and will recommend this product to all of our friends and family.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Nest cam is easy to set up and use. Can be used inside and out. Have also used arlo system and it is very similar. Nest has a bit bigger screen shot but arlo seems to be more sensitive and pick up movements

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This nest camera has a great quality picture, but the microphone picks up a lot of interference. The setup of the camera only took about 5 minutes, and was fairly easy. We set it up in our game room because I have a lot of valuable memorabilia there. The video quality is amazing, and it is able to capture the whole room, but the microphone was making a lot of weird noises that weren’t actually on the tv, I’ll have to see if I can tweak that at all. The app is very easy to use and navigate. Great quality camera. It would be nice if it was waterproof though, so I could get a couple for outside.
