[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We installed our Nest Cam on our front porch so that we can see who's at the door and who's walking up the front sidewalk. Our front porch is pretty small and recessed so I was surprised that the Nest Cam would be able to capture the door and sidewalk. The lens is wide enough to capture it all. Installation was super easy! There are very few parts - just the camera, charging cable, the mounting plate and a few screws. The mounting plate is magnetic so it's really easy to adjust the camera angle and move it up and down to get it just where you want it. The magnet is very strong. It definitely won't move unless you move it. Setting up the camera in the Google Home app was equally simple. The app recognized the new device and I was viewing the video from the camera within minutes. The coolest thing about the Nest Cam is that it will detect faces on the camera and let you name or label those faces and then let you know when that person is at the door. Very cool! Overall, I'm very pleased with the Nest Cam and I am already planning where I would put another one.

Installation is a breeze with the included hardware and offers many mounting options making it possible to mount just about anywhere. The battery charges fairly fast and lasts a long time

I rent so this has allowed me to not have to run wiring through my landlord's house. I really love the face recognition and the seamless interaction with my home automation!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I can't say enough about the google nest indoor/outdoor camera. First, installation was a breeze. It's small enough that it doesn't look tacky mounted on my porch. The camera allows me to check on my home any time that I am away. It alerts me during activity and night vision makes it more versatile.

Collectively between my multiple accounts I probably on over 100 nest products. I won't go so far as to say this is by far the worst, but the battery life is terrible if it is in an area that is used somewhat frequently. Don't expect it to last very long. It does not turn on when events need to be captured, and it captures events that do not need to be captured.

The setup of the camera only took about 5 minutes, and was fairly easy. We set it up in our game room because I have a lot of valuable memorabilia there. The video quality is amazing, and it is able to capture the whole room, but the microphone was making a lot of weird noises that weren't actually on the tv, I'll have to see if I can tweak that at all. The app is very easy to use and navigate. Great quality camera. It would be nice if it was waterproof though, so I could get a couple for outside.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The assembly and installation of this product was a snap. We already have a Nest thermostat so we were basically set up. It took no time to add on the Nest Cam. We installed inside temporarily since it is snowy and icy right now. In 4 days we have used 15% of the battery. They estimate that at this usage the battery will last another 4 weeks. Wide angle lens provides an excellent picture. We are very happy it has audio and video feature. Every object that comes into view a message is sent to me. We are very pleased.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like this camera. It was easy to set up and very easy to install. I love how easy it is remove when I need to charge it. The magnet is very strong and I think it would stay attached during heavy winds. The battery estimate says 7 months!! Wow! It loads very quick when you get an alert. It's awesome you can hear and even speak through the camera. The live video works well and the history timeline feature is very easy to navigate to see past events. The image is clear and crisp and the night view is also very good. So far I am very impressed with the camera and I have not even fully discovered all the settings and features.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Nest Cam is my favorite outdoor battery security camera to date. The camera itself looks spectacular and has all the functionality you need and more. The setup process was fast and easy. Once you download the Google Home App set up takes around 5 minutes. The Nest Cam comes with a magnetic base, an attachment to the base for drilling install, and a power chord (unique, do not lose). My favorite part about it is the magnetic base. Not only do I not have to drill any holes on my wall, but I have a large metal section in my back yard that the base instantly attached to. After setup and install, then came the features. This little cam is equipped with facial recognition, people and animal recognition, night vision, motion capture, set up of zones, vehicle motion recording, two way audio, and much more. You can add known family members or friends to your "familiar faces" list and the camera can be set up to notify you or not notify when they are captured on video. The animal recognition is great for people with pets and wanting to know when they are at certain zones of the yard. If you place the camera in a high traffic area, it can also recognize moving vehicles and record when they pass without starting too late. Another useful feature is Presence sensing. You can allow the app to track your phone and automatically turn on the camera when you leave and turn it off when get back to extend it battery life. I placed my camera in the back yard pointing towards the yard as well as a high vehicle traffic area to test the battery. So far, I am getting around three weeks of battery life per charge, of which I know can be extended with different placement. Overall I highly recommend this Nest Cam and will be purchasing additional cams in the near future.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I struggle with this cam constantly. It won't sync with the app, won't see my network (it's a Google WiFi router for goodness sake). I've used many other smart cams and while I held out a lot of hope/excitement on this one, it's been a terrible experience.
