Installation doesn’t work, Google Support useless. I purchased a battery Google Nest Cam in Sept 2022. Although I have over 40 smart home devices that connect with my network flawlessly (including a couple of Google devices), the Nest Cam wouldn’t connect during set up. I contacted and worked with Google Support for about 4 months and they couldn’t fix it and just kept putting me off. They also wouldn’t take the defective device back and issue a refund. Finally, I gave up. I wasted $180 of hard-earned money on this device. Buyers beware!

My Nest Cam (battery) has been running for a month. First 2 weeks on battery while I waited for the 10m waterproof cable. Installation was simple, battery life is great. Video quality is very good but laggy when starting to record. Sometimes it would record an event other times it would catch just the last couple of seconds and other other times it would completely miss the event by recording after it was over. Since installing the 10m power cable all my recording problems stopped. Very happy with my Nest Cam(battery) purchase.

I particularly like that the camera is made as 2 parts; the base and the camera. The camera is easy to place into the base for to the heavy duty magnet that connects to the base. It’s very easy to change the camera angle this way too! The battery lasts much longer than I had anticipated and charging is a breeze! The installation was so easy and the placement can be changed as much as I may see fit. Also, it’s important that I note the app features of the device- excellent viewing options with clear camera visuals both day and night. I added one of the best cameras to my home and have already ordered 2 more. Great product!

I have the google nest hub and thermostats, and have gotten very accustomed to the Google Home interface. My previous home camera was very basic and constantly glitched - only really want one to keep track of packages left on my porch. The nest cam set up was incredibly simple and it is connected to my home app. Video quality is amazing, and it covers a much bigger area than my old camera. I can clearly see the entire front porch and my walkway, too. It doesn't come with a stand, and since I didn't want to mount it to the inside of my window frame, I ordered the stand from the Google store and it should be arriving soon. Highly recommend!

Easy to install and app works well to monitor what’s going on. I also like that it’s rechargeable unlike a popular competitor that only uses batteries. Would definitely get more.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wanted a camera for outdoor security sensing that could be powered remotely and work through wifi with my phone. This Nest camera does it perfectly, it was very easy to attach externally to my home and the magnetic attachment to the base if great to adjust views. The google home app is easy to setup, I did have to try multiple times for it to fully install without throwing up errors, but just be patient. It can sense movement and send you alerts and keep history videos. The battery depending on use lasts for months.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this product to make sure my house was safe, I haven't had security cameras before but there have been multiple robberies in my neighborhood recently. The camera is very easy to set up and recording is easy to access.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This camera had good video quality but not the best. I do like that it can distinguish between animals, people, cars. What I don't particularly care for is that you only have 3 hours of video before its deleted, unless you subscribe to a subscription service. It was easy to install and get set up as well if you are willing to subscribe to the monthly subscription its a decent camera the picture at night isn't as great in the day though.
