[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this camera for a couple of weeks and I am frustrated with it. I set it up at first inside using the Google Home app which works, but the picture can't be enlarged without flipping between portrait and landscape which is super frustrating. I've tried to find a setting to lock it but there isn't one. So I decided to set up the nest app. I've tried to set it up by scanning the bar code which then moves to the Google home app, but it never finishes set up. I tried setting it up using the 6 digit entry key which never finishes set up. Honestly at this point I am beyond frustrated. The picture looks like it can be good, but since I can't get the product to set up correctly I'm not really sure.

Before purchasing please be sure to know that this operates via the Google Home, rather than the Nest, app. This has a number of implications not the least being the inability to review wired and battery camera data from a single platform. Unfortunately I had tossed all the packaging before making this discovery, having mistakenly assumed that I would be as delighted with the battery version as I am with my three wired cameras.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great camera. All you have to do is download the app on your phone and your good to go. You can move this camera to any place inside or outside your home. It is wireless so you can take it anywhere that has a WiFi connection

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very convenient product. No wiring necessary. I have not yet owned it long enough to know if the battery life is as stated. That said the battery is easy to change out whenever it does expire. Very reliable. I'm happy with the product.

The fact that it’s made by a major company that has been around a while really makes me have peace of mind. Camera works very nicely with very little lag between viewing and reality. So far so good I’ll update my review after a few more months.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this for home security, however the camera worked well while I was in my home. The problem with google nest if you want it to work away from home you must purchase a nest app for a monthly fee. I have 4 other cameras none require an app.

The only thing I m not happy is view of camera is giving me. Tech recommended current site but view is kind of narrow. Also didn't realize that battery runs down fast unlike my nest doorbell which is hard wired and able to see my porch to see packages arrive. Will get 2nd gen hub for viewing.

It is easy to watch when someone is coming over or when a package gets delivered. The picture quality is great and it has stood up just fine to some extremely hot weather. I highly recommend this camera for any home!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this cam a week ago and I have to say, this is fantastic! I love the magnetic mount and battery operation. I rent so this has allowed me to not have to run wiring through my landlord’s house. I really love the face recognition and the seamless interaction with my home automation!
