[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Originally got this to watch for our senior dog in the back while hes out playing and to set the zones where it would notify us when he’s ready to come back in. The camera offers great quality during night and day and the notifications work exactly how we had planned as far as setting the zones so it picks him up at the door. The set up on these cameras is super easy and all you have to do is just scan the QR code on the lens of the camera. I also like how Google has integrated all their devices into one app now so I can just open it up and all of my cameras, doorbells, thermostats etc are there. We have it mounted by our back door on the outside under a small lip that keeps it from direct weather but so far it has handled below freezing temperatures, snow and rain being blown on it with no issue.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a very welcome addition to the Google camera range. The Nest cam with battery is supposed to be used outside as well as inside as per the product features. Although is does support outside use, we have installed it on our door so that it’s not totally under the weather and can still serve the purpose. The setup was very easy and we just followed the instructions. Since I already have a decent size Google eco-system so I was quite aware of what all needs to be done to do an error-free installation. Coming to the image quality, as expected it gives a very crisp and good quality image. It has almost all the features like event-based recordings, limited local saving of data etc but one thing which I like to cover is that battery charge. It has 3 modes depending on how you want to capture your events, personally we have used the minimum battery saver option which would give us a 3-4 months of battery life which is pretty good (I am yet to drain out my whole battery). Also one can take the Nest Aware subscription to have longer history of event based recordings. Overall, I have liked the product and I can see the benefits what it provides whether you have a package delivery or someone at the door. Would recommend it for sure !!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My initial thought when I opened the box is that the device is quite large. From a technical/design standpoint, the look itself is very sleek and unobtrusive for any decor, a very modern look. The magnet itself is very strong and allows for a wide range of positioning of the camera. Although you can get it to exactly 90 degrees, otherwise the magnet will start to repel. The device comes with various components including wires and mounting plate and some other hardware accessories. The set up of the device was fairly simple, very similar to my google home set up. It is set up in the same app. It even goes into installation tutorials depending on where you are installing and what type of material you are installing into. Overall, very easy to set up I think. There are cool features within the device if you have compatible google devices like presence sensing and various routine settings. There are also various subscriptions for the device if it is needed. Overall it's quality security camera and allows you for great customizations and live communication. I think my only concern with the device is using it outdoors. Although water hesitant the camera is not fully weatherproof. The accessories provided, despite being a pricey unit, is not suited for outdoor use. You would have to buy a longer watherproof cable and anti-theft mountings for safe outdoor use in my opinion.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was excited to get my Nest Cam (Outdoor or Indoor, Battery). This is the first time using a security camera, and I really like this one. The overall camera design , size and color is clever, simple and aesthetically pleasing. It comes with a super strong magnetic plate, which allows for a multitude of flexibility in how you want to position the camera. The mounting of it is straight forward and easy, using a wall plate, wall screws and wall anchors. The installation may take a little effort, depending on how tech savy you are. Good news is that there is plenty of support to help you get started if you need it. The video quality is good, the images are clear. I am using it at my front door for added security and love that you get alerts of any movement detected.

I use it as a baby monitor for the moment and plan to move it to the porch later. It offers 3 hours free cloud storage which is sufficient for now.

I use this in the war and I use it to monitor when my daughter comes home from school had to make sure she made it home safe. I also have it set up that it monitors my younger daughter who is now transitioning into a bed that she doesn't sneak out of her room at night. I love how you can communicate through the next and I plan on purchasing a whole system. If you have tried others I highly recommend that you give the nest system a try it is well worth it.

That within itself says a lot because I’m not usually tech savvy. It was extremely user friendly and took no time! I’m highly impressed with the image quality even the night time mode surpassed my expectations beyond belief! They out done themselves with this tiny but mighty little camera. It gives us peace of mind for sure! We are thrilled to be able to check in the house whenever we are away. Absolutely hands down a good, quality little investment. Would highly recommend!
